New Order

Biography: New Order is an English rock band, founded in 1980, by the members of the separated band Joy Divison, after the suicide of their lead singer Ian Curtis.

The early version of New Order, was very similar to Joy Division, but they could later find a very special distinctive sound. Their sound has been usually described as a fusion between electronic music and post punk.

New Order started with Bernard Sumner(guitarist, keyboardist and lead singer), Peter Hook(bass) and Stephen Morris(drums). In 1981 Gillian Gilbert(actual Stephen's wife) joined them, as the new keyboardist, but left the band in 2001, to take care of her son, who's going trough a dangerous sickness. As a replacement, Phil Cunningham joined, to take charge of the keyboard and guitar.
