Oguri Shun

Biography: Shun debuted on screen when he was 13 as the bullied child in the drama "Great Teacher Onizuka" in 1998, yet he wasn't that famous until his role of Uchi in the hit-show "Gokusen" in 2002. When Matsumoto Jun got the role of Domyouji Tsukasa on "Hana Yori Dango" he told the producers that if Shun didn't get the role of Hanazawa Rui, he himself would not play Domyouji.

Shun also lent his voice to the character Seiyu on "Fullmetal Alchemist the Movie: Conqueror of Shamballa" together with his brother Ryo in 2005. In 2007 his talent gained even more attention as the leading role of Sano Izumi on the show "Hanazakari no Kimitachi e". As of February 2009, he is starring in Binbō Danshi as Kazumi Koyama, a poor college student.
Shun has a condition called 'Pectus Excavatum', which is a condition that affects the growth of several ribs - they grow abnormally, making his chest appear deformed or caved-in. You can barely see it with him, which is rare.

Shun's was inspired to become an actor by the actress Uchida Yuuki. He really admired her and wanted to meet her. He joined acting classes, but he never really liked those. He did not give up, though, and now he is a great actor and acting is his life.

His best friend is Tsukamoto Takashi, a singer, model and actor, together they starred in the drama "Stand Up!!" and that is where they met. He had a girlfriend, Yaguchi Mari, a singer from the popular pop-group "Morning Musume". She quit the group a little while after she was made 'leader' in 2005, being the only member to never fully 'graduate' from the band. As of August 2006, though, it has been reported that he was seen with Tanaka Miho, but both parties declined to make any statement regarding this rumour.
