Peter Sterling

Biography: Peter Sterling was born on June 16 th 1960 in Toowoomba, Queensland. Peter started playing rugby league at the age 14 when he joined the local team in Wagga Wagga. In late 1977 Peter started his professional rugby league career when the Parramatta Eels signed him up. He stayed with Parramatta until a shoulder injury forced him to retire in 1992. Peter also played 13 State of Origin games for New South Wales between 1981 and 1988. He also played 19 games for Australia between 1982 and 1988. In 1994 he signed up as a co-host for The Footy Show with Paul Vautin. He stayed co-host on The Footy Show until 2006.
