Reni Santoni

Biography: Reni Santoni is an American actor born April 21, 1939 in New York City. Although he started out as a comedy writer, he began his acting career in off-Broadway plays. His first major film role was in 1964 in the movie The Pawnbroker with Rod Steiger. Other film parts include playing Inspector Gonzalez in Dirty Harry with Clint Eastwood. He also had roles in Bad Boys with Sean Penn, and Dead Men Don't Wear Plain with Steve Martin. Santoni appeared in many well-known television shows including Hill Street Blues, Lou Grant, Barnaby Jones, and Hawaii Five-O. He was a regular cast member of the TV series Owen Marshall. Counselor-at-Law. Santoni had a recurring role as "Poppie" on Seinfeld, as the restaurateur who never washed his hands. Santoni also does a lot of voiceover work. He did voice acting in the movies Bright Lights, Big City, Dr. Doolittle and Dr. Doolittle 2. Santoni continues to work as an actor.
