Biography:
Robert was born in 1972, in Lincolnshire. His parents divorced when he was five. He has two older brothers and a younger half-sister. His mother died when he was 17.
He attended Cambridge University - though his driving reason was to join the Footlights. He studied English at Robinson College. He met David Mitchell here, and they joined forces to write comedy together.
Robert is married to comedy actress Abigail Burdess.
