Sterling K. Brown

Biography: Sterling was born in St. Louis Missouri where he attended St. Louis Country Day School. Brown attributes Milton Zoth with helping him find his love for acting. He attended Stanford University. There he earned his BA in Drama. After, he got the Graduate Acting program at NYU where he received his MFA. He really wanted to go into economics at university, but changed it at the beginning of the year. His mentor, Harry J. Elam, really got him into acting. Jr. Professor Elam directed Brown in his first play at Stanford, which was August Wilson's Joe Turner's "Come and Gone". He got a professional career in the play "Blue for an Alabama Sky". After school, he worked in regional theatre and every once in a while in film and television. He loves his acting career and looks forward to opportunities to keep on acting.
