Days fans may recognize him as Stefano's bumbling sidekick Bart, but jazz fans are coming to know Steve Blackwood as a talented vocal artist. Compared to Mel Torme and Frank Sinatra, Steve is an accomplished singer who often crosses between jazz and blues. Steve recently released a CD titled I Don't Worry Bout A Thing, featuring his unique re-workings of standards like "Black Coffee," "All of Me," "My Baby Just Cares for Me" and "Stompin at the Savoy." The collection has been getting great reviews, and is such a quick seller that it's becoming hard to find! To order a copy, send a check for $12.99 to Newborn Jazz, 4114 Warner Blvd, Unit C, Burbank CA 91505. Steve is happy to autograph the CD (at no additional cost), if you so wish. Steve has also recorded a VH1 special soundtrack, Frank Sinatra: They Were Very Good Years, which has been airing on VH1 recently. Steve sings the title song, "Frank's Tune". It's available through the production company Just Jazz, at 10520 Magnolia Blvd., North Hollywood CA 91601.
