Taylor Abrahamse

Biography: Taylor is a seasoned performer. Starting as a model at age five he progressed to TV commercials (Johnson's Wax, Fisher Price, Honda, Goodyear Tires, to name a few). He was cast at age seven on the CTV series Power Play and at age nine played a the role as young Jimmy Osmond on the ABC movie "Inside the Osmonds". Taylor had also landed a guest spot that turned into a regular role on the PaxTV hit series "Doc" starring Billy Ray Cyrus as Eliott. After appearances on the short-lived Runaway and Hockey: A People's History, Taylor landed a leading role as Luis Calabasas for 26 episodes of the Nelvana CGI series "The Future Is Wild", based on the popular documentary series of the same name. While currently attending High School, Taylor has created numerous short films, and entire musicals on his own, and in 2005-06 was part of Ross Petty's Annual Christmas Musical which included Canadian Idols Ryan Malcom, Gary Beals, Billy Klippert and Elena Juatco, along with funny man Sean Cullen.Taylor is a seasoned performer. You may have seen him on this season of Canadian Idol as a top 40 contestant, who during the Top 100 qualification round, amazed the judges while effortlessly doing song requests.
Taylor's love and skill for music is reflected in his debut CD, and in his hundreds of home recordings since. Taylor's unique, powerful voice is remarkable (Nominated for best young songwriter at the Toronto Independent Music Awards 2007) and his rendition of the title song of his first album "My Friend Today" was praised by Billy Ray Cyrus as a potential hit "destined for the top of the charts".
