Biography: Having had an impressive film and television career spanning back to 1962, Terence Stamp has been acclaimed by critics and fans alike. He was born in England in 1939 and though he is a private man, realised that he wanted to be an actor. He had a successful early career until the late 1960s when his girlfriend, supermodel Jean Shrimpton, left him and he spent ten years living in India. He was lured back to acting when his agent contacted him with the role of General Zod in Superman II. He returned to Europe and began to pursue his acting career in earnest. In 2002, Stamp finally married a woman named Elizabeth whom Stamp had met in Australia. He has continued to make movies but has noticably had a recurring role in Smallville as, ironically, as Clark Kent/Kal-El's biological father, Jor-El.
