William Ragsdale graduated from Hendrix College in Conway, Arkansas studying religion and humanities before deciding on a career in acting. He caught the acting bug while appearing in a few college plays/musicals.
As a graduation present, his parents gave him the tuition to attend the Drama Studio London's American school at Berkely, California.
His first taste of success was on Broadway appearing in Neil Simon's autobiographical protagonist, in both "Biloxi Blues" and "Broadway Bound."
William also appeared in the successful film, "Fright Night" (1985). Fright Night, Part II (1989) and Mannequin Two (1991).
Now TV has become his medium of choice, appearing in the cult series "Herman's Head". William has had brief runs in series such as "American Pie" (1996), "Brother's Keeper" (1998) and "Grosse Point" (2000). William has recently married.
