Yaya Da Costa Johnson

Biography: Camara "Yaya" DaCosta Johnson was born the 1 of January in 1982 in Harlem, New York. Born in a very educated family, Yaya pursued her modeling until the modelling oportunity presented itself.
Yaya stayed strong throughout the whole cycle 3 of America's Next Top Model. She was a strong competitor and a fan favorite. She won 5 challenges before falling just a little short and becoming runner up to Eva Pigford.
Before becoming a contestant on America's Next Top Model, Yaya attended Brown University where she majored in International Relations and African studies. After finishing second, she continued to pursue modelling. She signed with Ford Models in New York as well as Models 1 in London.
In addition to modeling, Yaya is also acting and has in appeared in commercials for Radioshack and Garnier Fructis. She recently appeared in the movie Take the Lead with Antonio Banderas. She has also did modeling for Target and appeared in a few rap music videos.
