Critic Reviews

88 Daily Radar
A good game on basically all accounts, Charge 'N Blast brings adreline-pumping, arcade-style insanity back to the Dreamcast.
80 Planet Dreamcast
It's a well done arcade shooter and the perfect game to toss in when you have some time to kill.
75 IGN
While this makes Charge'N Blast an excellent rental for a night or two, the lack of gameplay longevity makes Charge'N Blast go out with a "dud" rather than a bang.
65 GamerWeb Sega
What's there is actually a good deal of fun, but it wouldn't be an understatement to say that you can finish the game in an afternoon, and for most gamers that just won't cut it.
65 Happy Puppy
Spastic action, beautiful graphics and robotic sound effects do not a classic make.
60 DC Swirl
If the length of this Review were to reflect the actual amount of time it takes to get through Charge 'N Blast in its entirety, it wouldn't be long-enough to fill a Wendy's work application form. Short length! Linearity!
59 GameSpot
A clichéd shooter with little to no replay value.
50 Gaming Age
On average, a single level doesn't take more than three minutes to finish, and with that in mind, it doesn't take long to factor in that the title doesn't have much longevity...Once you've gone through once, you have done it all.
35 AllDreamcast
Easily the biggest problem with Charge 'N Blast is that it has zero replay value. The only thing that was added to the home version was a Time Attack mode where you can see how fast you can make it through each level. Wow, I'm excited.
