Dragonriders: Chronicles of Pern (Dreamcast)

For centuries, the dragons of Pern and their riders have protected their world from the alien oppressor, Thread. Mightiest among the dragons are the Gold Dragons, and their riders, the Weyrwomen – crusading for the free people of Pern. But now your Weyrwoman is dead, and her gold dragon is dying. Unless you can find a new rider to take up her mantle, your weyr – and perhaps all of Pern – is doomed. [Ubi Soft]

Critic Reviews

65 Electric Playground
A well thought out and logical adventure game that, other than the no riding of dragons problem, is fairly solid, if a bit boring.
62 GameSpot
Hardly a terrible game, but it has its share of issues and won't appeal to a large group of gamers.
50 Games Domain
Regular adventure gamers, though, will be gnashing their teeth with frustration at the awkward controls, naff fighting system and endless mini-quests that have a noble hero working like an errand boy.
36 IGN
An awful mess of lengthy loading times, terrible camera angle control, and a slowness of gameplay that makes this one of the most disappointing games to come out this year.
25 Core Magazine
I've never read the novels this game is based on, and thanks to the suffering that I called playing Dragon Riders, I never will.
