Critic Reviews

90 IGN
Although most gamers can expect great 2D visuals from SNK, Mark Of The Wolves features some of the best 2D animation in a 2D fighting game.
90 Planet Dreamcast
One of the best 2D fighters ever made...It’s got everything you could want: nice graphics, spot on control, solid play mechanics, and it’s loads of fun to play. It’s nice to have a fighting game that requires some real strategy.
85 GameSpot
Aside from a few minor issues, it's an extremely good port of one of SNK's last great NeoGeo games and is itself one of the last great games for the Dreamcast.
83 XenGamers
The appeal lies in stringing together simple moves into devastating combinations, not memorizing counterintuitive button sequences.
80 Electronic Gaming Monthly
Combined with razor-sharp controls, this is one of the fastest, most responsive fighting games I’ve ever played. [Jan 2002, p.232]
80 GameShark
The animation is fantastic especially considering this is a port coming off the decade old Neo Geo hardware.
