This is an intense game, filled with challenges, and at the same time very straightforward and uncomplicated on its approach.

Pleasantly absorbing. The battles play out smoothly with the streamlined interface, and there's a lot of flavour added between missions with historical facts being imparted, and a bunch of decisions to be made on which factions to support, and how best to shape your army.

Crusaders: Thy Kingdom Come is the first attempt by Neocore Studios, and at times, it shows. I wouldn't exactly call this game a worthless donut, but it breaks my heart to see so much time, effort and money spent on a title that is mediocre at best.

The idea of leading a small unit of soldiers through the trail of battles to Jerusalem is sound, the execution poor to appalling. Too short list of orders, erratic AI and completely ahistorical weaponry doom this game to obscurity. [June 2008]
