ISS Pro Evolution 2 (Playstation)

Come on, Konami! Release this title in North America! Please?? Currently playable in Europe only (or, I guess, anywhere with a European PAL copy, along with a PAL PSOne and a multi-system TV) this sequel to the footy classic adds the mouth-watering Master League mode, injury and keeper tweaks, and nothing to screw up the formula which made the original a must-own for the PSX.

Get your mates 'round. Brand new-improved ISSPE. A few crisps to grease up your controllers. Football Heaven in a console.

Not only is it incredibly realistic and complex, it's a blast to play and it's the best videogame representation of a sport I've ever experienced. This game is a true masterpiece that can be appreciated by anyone who has at least a passing interest in the sport of soccer, and yet it has enough depth to satisfy hardcore futbol fans.

They have successfully achieved to transform the heart and soul of football into binary digits – something no other football game has ever achieved. This is football. This is the beautiful game.

It's the Master League that will have most veterans foaming at the mouth in anticipation.

[FIFA]'s OK for a little run-around kind of football game, but if you want to enjoy the intricate skills of our national game, ISS is the fan's only real choice.

In short, the best football game money can buy. Awesomely playable, insomnia-inducingly addictive, spookily faithful to the real thing and a must-buy for any gamer with a taste for footy. Just not as much of an improvement over Evolution 1 as we might have hoped for.
