Boil it down to a basic ratio of Great Summery Songs You'll Want To Sing At A Barbecue versus Songs That Don't Really Fit Together But Students Will Probably Like Them and this disc comes up as a clear winner.
80 Boomtown
As always, whether or not the game is for you really boils down to your taste in music, and how that relates to the tracks chosen on the disc, but with a combination of modern hits and true classics that are a pleasure to sing as Karaoke it’s difficult to imagine a group of people that wouldn’t have some fun using SingStar Summer Party as the basis for a party.
80 Games Master UK
Hardly seasonal but a good selection of indy, pop and white-lady soul. [June 2008, p.82]

Although the music is a matter of taste, Singstar Summer Party is definitely one of the best Singstar games we have seen in a long time.
78 PSM3 Magazine UK
There's substance too. [June 2008, p.84]

It's next to impossible to award a score since it's all going to be down to musical taste but a quick flick through my fiances extensive SingStar collections shows Summer Party to be one of the stronger entries into the series in my opinion.

Party Hits is not quite as much fun as the themed SingStar titles, but a good all-rounder for those family get-togethers.
70 Jolt Online Gaming UK
So while the majority of pop fans will no doubt find one or two tracks in here to tickle their fancy and test their vocal chords, Singstar Summer Party comes across as a fairly generic collection with a purpose of padding out your karaoke collection – and Sony’s pockets.
70 Official Playstation 2 Magazine UK
A decent addition to your SingStar library, but "Rocks!" or "Rock Ballads" are better if you're new to this karaoke franchise. [May 2008, p.83]
70 Playstation Official Magazine UK
The package is a bit of a one-trick pony. [June 2008, p.106]

Singstar Party Hits is a great game for those who don't have a PlayStation 3. A potential purchase for this game should be based solely on the tracklist and this one's pretty decent.

Long story short, if you enjoyed SingStar Party, it’s worth relieving your wallet (or, more likely, purse) for Party Hits.
60 NZGamer
For my money, there have been far better SingStar collections in the past – hopefully there’ll be more in the future.
60 Level7.nu
Yet another Singstar title utilising the the same formula as prior entries, this time offering us songs that are deemed summer hits. The problem is that few of the songs can actually be called hits. Though lacking in numbers, the few good songs are enough to make this package worthwhile.
