See this game as version 1.1 of FIFA 08, but focused on the UEFA European Championship, and as a nice taste of things to come in the next edition of FIFA.

The big question hanging over Euro 2008 is if it's worth its price tag, given that it's essential a tweaked FIFA 08 and FIFA 09 is only a few months away? The core gameplay has been tweaked enough to make FIFA 08 feel slightly dated, but chances are FIFA 09 will improve on this even further.

A real European Champion. If only we could say the same about England.

Compared to the PC-version, the PSP-version seemed to have been worked on a little longer and even though I really missed the be-a-pro mode the instead featured mini-games really made for a good compensation - at least considering it’s a mobile game. So if you really want to win the European Soccer Championship on your way to school or work you won’t make a mistake by getting Euro 2008!

At the end of the day, UEFA Euro 2008 feels a bit too much like the previous FIFA installation than most will probably appreciate.

It just doesn't have enough of its own identity to make it a necessity.

UEFA Euro 2008 doesn't convince us. The old gamestyle, technical bugs and the lack of the Dutch team made us unsatisfied. If you are looking for a good soccergame, we suggest you either take FIFA 08 or Pro Evolution Soccer 2008, which should even be lower in price by now.
