Feed the Penguin Premium is challenging and sure to keep players occupied longer than most casual games. I loved the quirkiness, which I felt made it stand out in the overcrowded App Store.

Rotate a maze in order to feed a baby in this cutesy and surprisingly enjoyable physics puzzler of sorts.

The retro-style graphics are original, bright and humorous at times and the game has a lot of character.

Thinking outside the box may not be a neanderthal's strong suit. Luckily the player is there to do the thinking for them.

Swim around and eat nearly everything that moves in I Am Dolphin, a fun Ecco-ish kind of game.

Zombie Slash clones Fruit Ninja to a ridiculous level, but for those not bothered about innovation and originality, the game offers plenty of spooky fun that's ideal for the Halloween season. Despite my better judgement wanting to pick on Zombie Slash for its blatant copying, I couldn't help but enjoy my time playing it.

There's a certain amount of randomness to success here, but Stardust Hero proves to be a highly entertaining Peggle-style game.

Liberation Maiden is beautiful, with five open levels to experience and a storyline with lovely cut-scenes to go along with it, but players will encounter some issues along the way.

Air Penguin is the perfect example of a quality casual game. It's simple yet gives you reason to keep playing. Plus it's fun to drop into for five minutes at a time or for much longer too.

Twisted Lands: Insomniac might not revolutionize the genre in any way but that intriguing story will keep people playing, just to see what happens next. It's not often a Hidden Object game is generally creepy but this one manages it well. It's just unfortunate that it's not a little longer for the price.

Dark Day in LA is a gruesome game of Where's Waldo with a murderous twist. A blood-sucking vampire stalks his prey in a film noir style Los Angeles.

As a game, Hidden Folks is still just a hidden object game, but as an experience, it's a lot more than that. Its charming presentation really brings every scene to life and layers in a sense of discovery beyond just finding items on a list. This liveliness is so compelling that it's hard for me not to recommend this game, even if you flat-out don't like hidden object games.

The Villain can be a good bit of innocent fun although it isn’t exactly the most polished iOS game out there. The objectives are a little scattered and the interface is somewhat clunky, but conjuring up a small army of adorable skeletons to do the dirty work is always a good time.

Worst of all every character's voice is an ear-piercing shriek. Still, even if they'll want to mute it, any control freaks looking for a fun and varied way to keep busy should give Motor World Car Factory a look.

SketchPhrase is a tough game to pin down simply because so much of it is dependent on the randomness of player selection and participation. When it goes well it can be incredibly goofy and fun. When it doesn't, it can be fairly boring.

There's precious little out there that's quite like The Grading Game. Being able to educate people about important subjects and life skills, such as the ability to string a sentence together, is a worthy thing in itself. The fact it's hugely entertaining makes it all the better.

A great little retro arcade game – and I mean arcade in the truest sense. This feels like something that could have been made in the 1980′s and just recently unearthed. This is 'retraux' in incredibly fine form, and well worth checking out for fans of arcade games and fans of retro-styled games.
