No matter how much people gripe about the details though, there is no denying that Aralon is the most impressive RPG to ever hit the App Store. There are others with better stories, but Aralon is the only one that forces you to live and breathe in its fantasy world.

Rimelands is the first turn based RPG that I didn't feel constrained by the controls or game speed. On top of that, there is a good story, there are good characters, good combat, good level designs, and good graphics.

I do not hesitate to claim that Chaos Rings has the potential to change iDevice gaming as we know it, and for the better.

Gameloft did just right with Let's Golf! 2. They gave the game more international flavor, more colorful characters, and improved game play, all while maintaining everything that made the first Let's Golf! so great. Let's Golf! 2 is an amazing game that any fan of casual sports games should pick up.

Espgaluda II is a beautiful, well-developed port for the iPhone and the best 2D vertical shooter I've ever played. It's breathed new life into a stale, complacent genre and raised the bar for other 2D scrolling shooter developers.

It's fun and inviting gameplay makes for a great pass time!

Rocketcat Games has refined the foundation that Hook Champ laid down into something truly wonderful with Super QuickHook.

My favorite iPhone game. Ever. If I wasn't such a civilized individual, this statement would be filled with expletives to help you understand how kick ass this game is. But you should just buy the game and insert your own expletives here.

iBlast Moki is the best physics game for the iPhone, and at $1.99, it would be criminal to pass up one the best games of the year.

Taken as a whole, Ticket to Ride represents one of the very best (if not THE best) translations of a board game to the iPad. Every element works and works well, and the game is seriously engaging and addictive.

This is one of my favorite iOS games in recent memory, and one of the best endless games on the App Store. I cannot stress how highly I recommend this game, and I will keep playing it long after this review is finished.

For its well developed gameplay, extensive level offerings and superhero abilities, Superman is a iOS game that new and old fans will enjoy.

Reckless Racing 2 improves on all of the original game's features and adds several more goodies such as career mode and car customization. This all combines to make it the best "rubbin's racin'" game on the App Store.

Both the graphics and music were incredible.

Pocket Planes addresses the main concerns I had with Tiny Tower in the long-term: that there wasn't much of a point to the game, and little goal to attain. Pocket Planes is much more involved, with concrete goals, but still keeps the principles that make NimbleBit's social titles so fun and addictive. Even haters of 'social' games need to give this a shot.

The app seems perfect in every way, and hats off to Codito for pulling it off.

I'm absolutely hooked to Knights of the Round Cable. It's a cheap pun, and I'm going to use it! Few games pull me in like this, and find me so engrossed that I lose track of time. I absolutely love this game.

I've gotten absolutely hooked on Mikey Shorts. I felt compelled to get 100% in Story mode. I keep going back to play more of the 48 Challenge levels. I collect coins so I can run amok in a top hat, monocle, and duck bill because why not. But most of all, it's the way that the game is designed to be empowering.

For those who have never played Bastion, you have no excuse now. It's a steal – $4.99 for the full game – and it's a beautiful, clever, absolutely one-of-a-kind experience.

Bad Piggies is pretty darned flawless, when I think about it.
