Although you can't say that it's an impressive evolution compared to Assassin's Creed II, Brotherhood is without a doubt a more polished version of its predecessor, and the introduction of a captivating multiplayer has turned it into the best game of the series yet.

So despite the odds being stacked against it, Eidos Montreal accomplished the impossible and brought us a Deus Ex in the true sense of the word, probably the best one that we could have hoped for considering the current "requirements" for being commercially successful nowadays.

The matter is simple – the game is free to play and, if you take my word for it, an excellent shooter. In a perfect world, it would knock the CoD series on its ass. Of course, in a perfect world its name wouldn't be Blacklight: Retribution and in a perfect world, it would have better ballistics and the graphics would be equally as good on all lanes.

In its own niche, Orcs Must Die! 2 is king. You may not be inclined towards tower defense games, but in this genre, the three-dimensional approach (your ability to use the walls and ceiling, to place down guardians, forming synergy between traps and character spells), the attractive graphics and the fast-paced gameplay are way above any other similar title.

There isn't a more painful torture than to try a mission for 30 times without any luck. There were moments when I felt that if I hadn't spend a fortune on my computer I would have thrown it outside and I'm really seeing the world from above, from the 8th floor. On the other hand I think I'd go nuts without games like GTA.

Fans that wanted nothing more than a remake of the old titles, with updated graphics and the same horror atmosphere will not be disappointed. But by comparison, Doom 3 doesn’t bring anything new to the table, and in some respects it feels obsolete compared the FPS that were released in these last years.

Can you forget "Medal of Honor" and "Call of Duty" by playing this game? Of course not, but Brothers in Arms marks a new beginning for the Second World War shooters. It's an extraordinary game, one that will change the history of war shooters forever.

Matter have managed to keep the original Call of Duty formula, with great graphics, feeling and atmosphere, while at the same time spicing up the recipe with larger battles and multiplayer goodness.

The game’s finale however left me a little disappointed, because it ends too abruptly, leaving behind more questions than answers.

In order to prevent standard strategies, multiple victory conditions can be set in a single scenario, so the battles are very fast paced, with each commander trying to get the upper hand for as long as possible.

A stunning game. It's not original nor it does feature innovative ideas, but it managed to push this type of gameplay to heights we've never imagined before.

Well, it’s a good game, even though some of the purists will say that it’s not a genuine adventure.

If you liked Doom 3, then Resurrection of Evil is exactly what you've been expecting all these years. The new weapons, levels, monsters and multiplayer are attractive even for a non-hardcore Doom fan.

The best thing about Age of Conan is its potential.

And even though the single-player is extremely linear and might be a bit short for certain tastes – you can complete it in less than 6 hours – Prey manages to avoid being a game released just for financial reasons. And considering its finale – the one after the Credits mind you – I sincerely hope that Human Head will continue the series with even more wackier ideas.

From a technical standpoint, Quake 4 exceeds all expectations, especially in multiplayer. Considering the game’s excellent performance on even the most modest rigs, cumulated with the traditional gameplay and countless modding options, I have no doubt that Quake 4 is here to stay.

The unit AI is a mess, especially that of the vehicles. If they’re attacked by long range artillery for instance, they’ll usually just stay were they are, not moving an inch to get out of firing range.

Everything is more realistic, more spectacular and more detailed. In addition to this, you can see clearly that the producers have focused more than usual this time around, adding new game modes, especially online.

If you add the two new Last Stand heroes that actually change the overall mechanics of the mode (you can now spawn creatures yourself) to the overall package, I think you’ll be pretty satisfied with what Chaos Rising has to offer.

It's true that the soul trees offer outstanding flexibility for character development and the rifts bring a welcome sense of insecurity into Telara's everyday life, but for some players this simply might not be enough.

Ultimately, Skyrim is a spectacular game. Huge, full of rewards and things to see, read and do. Still, the "console friendly" approach did leave its mark and the technical problems, coupled with some excessive simplification don't bode well for Bethesda's reputation.

A good story never hurts and this is what the Rainbow series lacks right now, storyline and emotional involvement of the player.

Despite the excellent technical aspects however, Battlefront ends up as a game without much of a soul, which without extra game modes or mods made by the fans will not last long in the multiplayer arena, where the battle is already heating up and where second place just doesn't cut it anymore.
    • Metascore: 77

The complexity of the game is very natural, which is a side-effect of the producers desire to make the game as real as possible. But despite this, the complexity of the game doesn’t seem forced or overwhelming for a minute.

The overall result is excellent and probably this game together with "Rome: Total War" and "Warhammer 40k" represent the best of the RTS genre these days. Unfortunately, the system requirements proved too high sometimes, the AI had its bugs despite its quality, and this is why Battle for Middle Earth will not be one of the greatest RTS games in computer games history.

One of the best arcade racing games ever. The quantity and quality of the options available to you, the level design and the freedom of movement, the cars and their handling through traffic, the details, all these make NFS: U2 a winner.

For veteran players, Factions offers little in terms of PvE but more than makes up for it in PvP, especially if you’re a member of an experienced guild.
