Buzz Master Quiz is not much of a quiz show and is far to easy for quiz masters. Even those looking for a casual trivia game will only get a few hours of fun out of it. You're best off simply taking a pass on this one.

Large scale real-time World War II combat is a great idea, but Sudden Strike II falls short in its execution. Take away all of the World War II units, and you are left with a very average strategy game.

A music game that’s really for puzzle gamers as music fans will have a hard time getting their groove on.

Tank Universal's core tank battle gameplay can be both challenging and fun, but the time you are forced to spend away from your tank tends to drag. It won't appeal to everyone, but if you're itching for some old school tank action there's some fun to e had here.

MX vs. ATV is a pretty good game. It has high points and low points, but sadly, being average doesn't really cut the mustard in the industry today.

If you're over ten, though, you'll find things too easy to provide much challenge at all, so you'd better be a really big Ice Age fan if you're going to get your money's worth out of it.

If building a real estate empire were this easy, we’d all be bored millionaires by now.

Resident Evil 6 is a mix of good and bad, but the good does outweigh the bad and the game brings many welcome changes to the usual action gameplay found in past games.

Fighting the interface is half of the battle here, but if you can get past that you'll find that at its core Squad Command is an ejoyable strategy game.

In spite of the short length, repetition, and glitches, Regeneration does provide enjoyment to Evil Dead fans. The voice acting by Bruce Campbell and Sam Raimi's brother Ted is excellent and the game packs in a surprisingly large amount of dialog between Ash and Sam.

F.E.A.R. Files is a disappointing expansion to a fun and scary game. The gameplay, and especially the graphics, seem to have gotten very old very quickly.

WOTB: Commando 3 blends the gameplay of both of its predecessors and makes a good stand against the other arcade shooters on the marketplace.

It's fun, good-natured and interesting, but just below the surface, all it is really interested in is squeezing some begrudgingly offered dollars from your pocket.

With this HD update, the Pro Skater franchise is back on top. Check this out as soon as humanly possible.

Overall EA Playground can be fun for younger gamers, but it's not going to win them over like a new version of Pokemon would. It's basically a rainy day diversion when the weather keeps the kids off of the real playground.

Black Knight Sword is quite an enjoyable and unique platformer that is worth a try - it's short but memorable.

Overall, Kingdom Hearts Re: Coded isn't a terrible game, but like all the other spin-offs and sequels, it fails to come close to the greatness of the original.

Lara has a nice range of moves, but the game is pretty linear and straight-forward. What you have in the end is a nice looking but fairly standard game that will have the most appeal to Lara Croft and action-adventure fans.

C'mon Silicon Knights, give us Eternal Darkness 2 instead of this silliness!

There isn't a whole lot else to say about Nectaris. It's an old school strategy title that I'm sure someone will enjoy based on either nostalgia or just a lack of anything else to play.

989 has certainly improved its game in the off-season with a very strong online presence. Unfortunately the actual gameplay will still keep GameDay as a backup for at least one more season.

Bizarre, frustrating, and overly difficult. Everything you look for in a game, right?

An interesting change of pace in PC racing, but not without its share of frustrations that hurt its longevity once the novelty wears off.

Legion Arena is a good buy for any gamer that loves playing General. It satisfies the need for a quick bloody battle and yet still provides enough depth to keep it all interesting.

Dungeon Keeper started with a good idea, but then it backed up that idea with some enjoyable gameplay. Dungeons takes that same idea, but misses on just about every point of execution. It's certainly time that gamers had another dungeon master type of game to play, but they'll just have to keep waiting for a good one.

Leave this one to diehard CSI fans who want to click their way through five new episodes of the show with little effort.

But in the end it's just another Dynasty Warriors game at heart with a Gundanium exterior.

If you are a fan of the movies, then you’ll probably enjoy the game’s story mode and be a lot more forgiving of the bare-basics boxing.

The inane mini games and forced motion-sensing features turn a bland trivia game into an annoying one instead.

Warhammer 40,000: Kill Team is not an awful game. It lacks a lot of polish and gets repetitive quickly.

Viking, once it is all said and done, just isn’t a very good game. It's repetitive, its boring and nearly every aspect of the game seems either rushed or plain forgotten about.

Big props for offering something new for poker fans, but you must go elsewhere for a real poker game and higher production values. At least the career mode is good for one playthrough.

As much as I fell in love with this game, it isn't going to please everyone. It is short, easy and can be difficult to follow if you aren't familiar with the story already. It also sports a dated design, and I can't see anyone but the superfans forgoing all the other amazing games out right now to play this one.

Heavy Weapon is fun in short bursts, but just doesn't give you enough bang for your buck.

Yet another effort to make music games portable fails to make the charts.

Tekken Hybrid is a compilation of Tekken Tag HD, Tekken Tag 2 demo and the Tekken Blood Vengeance movie. It will really only appeal to the hardcore Tekken fans overall.

While hard-core RPG gamers may scoff at the game’s hack and slash approach, it plays well for those looking for an action-RPG that works well as a portable game.

A decent little game with an interesting and unique storyline, as long as you don’t mind the slow pace and excessive amount of required reading.

Although based on a popular board game, you'll soon grow bored with this game.

There are better online shooters available for you to spend your money on.

A frustrating game when played solo that becomes a divide and conquer race through almost puzzle-like missions when played online.

All in all, Hoard is a decently rounded game that only needs a little bit of polishing to finish off its great game design and put itself on the list of titles that will probably have a cult following for years to come.

The Painkiller series has indeed overdosed, and should have been stopped after the first two games.

Its gameplay is competent, but not challenging enough to hold the interest of sports game players for the long term. Think of it as a day at the beach during the summer - a nice little diversion with some pleasant scenery.

Secret Files 2: Puritas Cordis is a fun and interesting game, but unfortunately fails in several important categories. Although it’s technically sound, it loses serious points because of the same old story about the end of the world, but especially because the puzzles that defy the most elementary logic.

A strategic simulation of modern naval warfare whose following is smaller than it deserves.

AvP is a beautifully rendered game that will no doubt impress the diehard fans of the series and probably convince a few new friends to jump on board.

Casual fans may want or wait for another, more substantial pack to come down the pike, but for me, this was just the thing to brighten a dreary afternoon.

Trekkers will gain more enjoyment from this game than others based on its good storyline - they're also more likely to give the game more patience. Other gamers will find it too simple, linear, and restrictive.

If you just have to have another Bejeweled variant, then I suppose you might want to give the game a look, but otherwise there are better Bejeweled games out there (e.g. the Puzzle Quest games) that are more worth your while.

Unless you grew up playing Speedball 2 and have a strong desire to relive your childhood you should probably pass on this one.

I hate to say it, but White Knight Chronicles is a huge letdown. Aside from some of the environments, everything in the game is merely average or, in some cases, below that. The broken, boring combat stands as the game's biggest problem, but I can't help but feel that even if it was more exciting, the game would still be sub par.

An average game that won't hold your attention for too long in a genre in which there are plenty of better options available.

Attack on Pearl Harbor has its moments, but it will have trouble holding your interest all the way through the campaigns.

Strategic Command 2 is best for someone entirely new to war gaming who is looking to get a feel for the genre. However, like training wheels on a bike it will soon outlive its purpose.

Alias is a game best suited for those who really, really want to play as Sydney Bristow.

NFL Head Coach brings football sims into the 21st Century, but it still won’t appeal to many people beyond hardcore sports sims fans.

If you enjoyed Red Alert 3 and are looking for a little more, then Uprising certainly fits the bill.

With a clunky interface, poor control, and frustrations aplenty, it should be sent to Davy Jones' locker.

A strategy game isn't much of a strategy game when it relies more on trial and error than planning.

Overall, JoJo's Bizarre Adventure is about as deep as a King of Fighters game.

This expansion does not add enough to the game to make it recommendable to those who are no already diehard fans of Zoo Tycoon 2.

If you’re looking for a WWII shooter for your PSP, then Call of Duty is not a bad choice as long as you don’t expect it to match the excitement of the other games in the series.

Fans of the film will enjoy it but action game fans will probably ultimately find it to be just an average game.

Need for Speed Undercover is street racing for the short attention span crowd.

Older gamers will find the gameplay simply too repetitive and simplistic. A new beginning for Spyro was a good idea, but this game is more of a false start.

Too short, linear, and easy to recommend on its own merits, Batman Begins is best enjoyed as a rental to be played soon after seeing the movie while you’re still on a Batman high.

NBA 09 suffers from not having the proper attention to flesh out the gameplay to represent real basketball.

A novelty toy that will hold your interest about as long as most novelty toys do.

When you stop thinking about how much better this game could be and accept it for what it is, you realize it's an enjoyable, story-driven, partial sandbox, space-flight sim that doesn't hold your hand like most current games. But even a space geek may not be able to overlook all of its out-dated and ill-conceived elements.

NBA '08 can provide its own brand of fun and excitement, but there are too many holes in the on-court action for it to make a championship run.

It has all of the prerequisites for an amazing game: good graphics, strong fiction to draw upon, and an interesting plot. Unfortunately it stumbles in its execution of gameplay, and not because it tries to hard to do something new.

Speaking of flying on Saphira, that wasn't nearly as much fun as I thought it would have been and never gave me the idea or feeling of power that must go along with being on such a beast. I really would have liked to see more down with the flying and for better control while flying.

NBA 07 is best for those looking for a more simple and arcade like basketball game or for those who are looking for a bit more from their sports games than just playing franchise mode all of the time.

If you’re really into fighters, then you may want to rent the game to check out the novel betting feature, but expect to be disappointed by the game’s relatively simple fight engine. However, overall The Con just doesn’t have enough going for it to suck you in for the long term.

It's online-only, its expensive and single-player enthusiasts won't find anything to enjoy in this title.

Spider-Man 3 certainly has its enjoyable moments, but camera issues and repetitive combat keep it from reaching its full potential.

The world of Gothic 3 is filled with bugs you can not slay.

If you are an Empire Earth fan, then you'll more than likely enjoy this expansion and appreciate the gameplay provided by the new campaigns.

While not as hard-core as some tactical FPS, Ghost Recon nevertheless does take a little getting use to if you’re new to this genre.

The game should be another Puzzle Quest, a game that brilliantly built an RPG around puzzle-based battles, but instead, it's just another Bejeweled knock-off lost in a sea of derivative clones.

An interesting concept that needs to be backed up with more game.

At least if you play Pokemon Trozei, you'll get essentially the same game with a bunch of funny Pokemon faces to laugh at. Here, you might laugh, but it won't be in a good way.

Final Fantasy II is an interesting blast from the past for those die hard FF fanatics. Others may not enjoy the fantasy so much thanks to a very odd leveling system.

This castle’s built on sand.

The good parts might not be enough to overcome the poor camera and game control.

Your typical arcade-style button mashing adventure game. It should remind you of playing "X-Men" and "The Simpsons" in the arcade with the way it demands constant repetitive button pushing.

Simple, straightforward, no thrills gin rummy.

This add-on isn't without its good points, though. It offers players a place to store their gear (something I felt was sorely missing from the main game) and introduces the arena's master, Mad Moxxi, with a cool, stylish introduction, but overall, this DLC is hampered by its insistence on defying Borderlands' main selling points.

Kane and Lynch 2 offers more variety in its multiplayer modes this time and even introduces a single player Fragile Alliance, but the main story can get so very repetitive with its lack of variety, making it feel just like another average third person shooter overall.

Even if past DBZ games have rubbed you the wrong way, and I know a lot of them have, give this one a shot. Unless you are a hardcore fan of Japanese voice tracks, you won't be disappointed.

Perhaps if the game actually were funny it could be recommended as a spoof of serious games, but that’s just not the case. You get a basic and bland RPG combined with a basic and bland RTS game, and that’s about it.

On the positive side, the game features a strong racing engine, good graphics, and competent AI racers, and the multiplayer races are exciting. On the negative, the presentation is pretty basic, the event selection is limited, severely so for a while into the game, and the DLC available at the time of this writing is a bit on the sparse side. With more content it would be a stellar game, but for now it's more for fans of the sport than anyone else.

King of Fighters XII attempts a new fresh start for the series, but beyond the new character sprites, not too much else has changed.

Luxor: Pharaoh's Challenge is enjoyable enough but doesn't justify its higher price.

Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen is a lot of things, but it is a far cry from the complete disaster some have claimed it to be. It's glitchy in places, difficult to control, repetitive, devoid of a decent online mode and worst of all, it dangles the free roam stages in front of the player – and said bonuses are empty wastelands of sheer boredom.

Not all board games can be improved by virtualization, but there's some fun to be had in this game collection.

The problem with Outcry isn't that it was cheaply made, it's that the developers took what little they had, and made something unappealing and boring out of an interesting concept.

This Missile Command is off target.

Like the 100 meter dash, it's fun while it lasts but is over too quickly.

This collection won't make everyone happy, but for the people it tantalizes the wait for next year's new movie will be a little more bearable.

Like a bad sci-fi version of "Diablo" or "Diablo 2" set in outer space. Unless you’re dying to spend hours on a Diablo throwback, it’s likely that you will think of Space Hack as just another hack and slash RPG arriving on the shelves a few years too late.

A case where the sum is greater than the parts. If you can get past the repetitive gameplay you may actually find a game with a great personality.

Veterans of the genre will probably find it limited and simplistic.

Dungeon Siege II fans will enjoy the chance to extend their time in the game’s world.

Democracy sounds a lot more interesting than it actually is to play.

If you loved the movie or just want to spend an hour or so with the game, then it's worth renting as long as you're happy with what you're getting yourself into. As a purchase, though, it's far too short, easy, and buggy to be worth the price.

Texas Cheat 'Em may be built on an original idea, but it just can't pull it off.

The Legend of Spyro: Dawn of the Dragon is an overall fun single or multiplayer experience for anyone that wants to rejoin the adventures of the legendary purple dragon.

For all intents and purposes Bakugan: Battle Brawlers is just battle after battle after battle (is that how it got the title?) with slow mechanics and nearly nothing to offer in the way of story, characters or much else.

Individual matches are easy to win and the career mode quickly becomes an exercise in repetition.

It's pretty safe to say that your enjoyment of Uno Free Fall will depend more on how much you like Tetris than how much you like Uno. If you're a DS owner, opt for the DS version of the game as it provides several games packed onto a single cart.

There are other interface issues and annoyances in Silverfall, but I’ll spare you from going into them in detail. Overall they all conspire to add too much frustration to Silverfall and the game’s interesting elements just can’t compete with this.

These Incredibles are just average.

Star Trek DAC isn't great, but it isn't awful. It's fun, but only for a while.

Even on the PS2, Size Matters still plays just as well as its PSP counterpart. This solid game still remains just as solid.

The game sure is nice to look at, but it lacks the depth needed to build a long term relationship.

Whether you're a Bionic Commando fan from Rearmed territory or an old school NES junkie, Rearmed 2 isn't going to be the game you'll end up wishing it was.

Probably the biggest knock against NBA ShootOut 2003 (if you ignore the complaints of defense purists) is the graphics. The player models and faces are a bit rough, and it can be hard at times to see the resemblance of marquee players to their real-life counterparts.

A weekend rental for those looking for a big rig fix, but it has trouble keeping its momentum up over the long haul.
