With all the inexpensive technology available today, it grinds my nerves to see that Ubi Soft couldn't program in the ability to save on the cartridge. With passwords becoming less of a trend today, the game is severely hurt.

A very novel concept, but other than its characters, it is average in every way.

Decent. Well thought out. Done before.
    • Metascore: 72
    • Critic Score 50
It is sloppy, mundane and unforgivably short.

Exactly half of this game (The fighting half) is just worthless, and while the other half (The racing half) is fantastic, there isn’t enough of it to warrant a purchase.
    • Metascore: 52
    • Critic Score 50
Dated graphics, shallow gameplay and a playing time of about 40 minutes to an hour for the main arcade mode are just some of the reasons to avoid wasting your money on this.

Every bit as average as Reign of Fire the movie. A few interesting missions save it from being a trainwreck but the visuals and controls could have used some serious work.
    • Metascore: 72
    • Critic Score 45
Cramped levels and shaky control keep this worm from being a superstar.
    • Metascore: 58
    • Critic Score 45
The control is sloppy and the graphics and level design confusing. The lack of the original Pitfall is the final nail in the coffin.

The epitome of shovelware. The spirit of Robotech is nowhere to be found in this game.
    • Metascore: 44
    • Critic Score 45
While this game could have been a contender it falls flat onto its face.
    • Metascore: 63
    • Critic Score 45
The combination of slow and sloppy gameplay and an unusual assortment of bugs makes it impossible to play this game with any kind of skill or strategy.

    Apalling.

Even the most hardcore Tetris fans will be upset with the sloppy multiplayer and arcade modes and the lack of meaningful new gameplay.
    • Metascore: 48
    • Critic Score 45
Just a mess. The underlying play mechanics are OK, but the graphics are so bad they actually impact the gameplay significantly.

Where Frogger is simplistic fun, Zapper uneccessarily complicates the gameplay with tedious item collecting and backtracking.
    • Metascore: 53
    • Critic Score 40
The game is made artificially difficult and despite how short the levels are (looping enemies nonetheless) you may never see the ending simply because the gameplay is that dull.
    • Metascore: 74
    • Critic Score 40
It runs poorly, presents itself poorly, and simply is true and utter trash. The only area of remote interest is the 3D level, but that alone isn't worth the price of the game.

This would have impressed in the 1980s but it is just plain average and easy by today's standards.

Good for kids. Good for people you don't like. Not good for you.

This game is for little Timmy, not for you.
    • Metascore: 60
    • Critic Score 35
The game is as mundane as they come and chock full of bugs.
    • Metascore: 54
    • Critic Score 35
It's good the first time around, but it fizzles after that. More modes, power-ups, and characters would help.
    • Metascore: 34
    • Critic Score 35
Its presentation is laughable to the point where it probably would have been unimpressive even on the Game Boy Color.
