Despite its crusty patches, World Zombination is a fun take on the apocalypse. Defend humanity or run it down. It’s up to you.

Real Racing 3’s good handily outweighs its bad. There’s plenty of variety in race types, more vehicles than you can shake a stick at, and even if it’s not ideal, old school racing fans can still have plenty of fun with the assists on.

While not perfect, the game offers a lot to get excited about. Excellent visuals and voice work, and a wonderfully fun story to play through make City of Secrets well worth your time.

The first fifty word puzzles are free, and you can purchase hundreds more for a low fee. More free puzzles are coming in August, so if you decide to hold on to your cash, you can be assured that an update is on the way. You can't lose-unless you neglect to remember that a goblin is actually a malevolent spirit and not a pony-gobbling under-dweller.

If you don’t want to listen to Eminem’s music on repeat, you’re not going to enjoy this game. I promise you’ll be hearing the same song a lot during the “cheap death” phase of the learning curve. However, if you’re a big fan, or even just enjoy Eminem’s music, this is worth the download.

Simple objectives, challenging platforming, and an adorable art style make Cordy 2 a worthy addition to your library. It's got a robust set of in-app purchases for those looking to take their game further, and plenty of heart to carry it along. Put this little robot in your pocket and check out the first game while you're at it.

Even though Toy Story: Smash It might look a little familiar to Boom Blox fans, it’s still a solid, addictive puzzle game. Experienced players should play alongside youngsters in order to show them the ropes, however. Think of it as mentoring the next generation of Space Rangers.

At its best, Kyubo requires precise planning and execution to make magical “aha!” moments a reality; these moments are its legacy, and what Kyubo will be remembered for long after he’s tumbled out of the tower.

It may not be the most original game on the market, but Blood & Glory is plenty of fun, and takes a huge step forward in defying our pre-conceived notions about what freemium gaming can be.

There’s so much I enjoy about Oxenfree’s weird story, but to spoil it would be to ruin half the fun. Suffice it to say that if you like adventure games at all, you need to play Oxenfree. There are a few bumps along the way, but it’s absolutely a journey worth taking.

Speaking as someone who’s been getting rather tired of sliding box puzzles, I think Warp Shift is genuinely refreshing. The way it requires you to think differently about space, the various extra puzzle elements that come into play and integrate with each other, and especially those cute little cube key things; it all makes Warp Shift a worthwhile brain teaser.

A great casual game on the iPhone. It's easy to learn and fun to play, not to mention the fact that it's genuinely adorable. Fans of casual puzzle games will love it, as will just about anybody else.

A fun, fast-paced, challenging title. Anyone with a penchant for Stanley Cup viewing should definitely check it out. Even if you're not a sports fan, Icebreaker Hockey is worth a look for the different take on sports game it delivers.

Saving Yello doesn't really do anything new or exciting as a physics puzzler. That said, what it does, it does very well. It's charming and fun and challenging and it looks absolutely magnificent.

The absence of words or instructions of any kind make this more suitable for children who aren’t reading yet, as they’ll still be exposed to concepts like matching shapes and sizes while getting in some fine motor skill practice at the same time.

Fibble may not be for everyone due to the low challenge level early on, but it's still pretty solid. Definitely the type of game you can feel good about giving to someone-- a non-gaming young child, significant other, parent/grandparent, what have you-- and that they may have a pretty good time with.

A game that young children will enjoy. Zooming in on your pet can giving it a nice rub under the chin and hearing it purr is just a heart-warming activity, even for my black, cynical soul. There's plenty of content on offer here, and while some of it is repetitive and there are some accuracy issues with some of the motions, this is the perfect game for young children and for anyone that needs some more cuteness in their lives.

If you enjoy board games, you should definitely try Thirty Days & Seven Seas. If you like strategy games you should probably give it a look too. And if you like the show, well, I have no idea if you’ll like it, but you should probably check it out anyway since it’s pretty darn good all-around.

BMO Snaps taps well into that ‘simple to learn, trickier to master’ trend that works so well for games like this. It really is so simple to start out with, but like any good photo shoot, perfection is tricky to capture.

Sword of Inferno won’t win any awards for its story. It looks great in stills but not so great in motion. However, despite a somewhat irksome stamina system and a severe need to hand out gems a bit more often it can be incredibly fun.
