Final Fantasy III is a terrific-looking RPG that what it lacks in story, nearly makes up for in its addictiveness and charm. The game can be pretty tough and the job system isn’t as polished as those in Final Fantasy V or Tactics, but it’s easily one of the best RPGs for the DS.

There's no denying that Enemy Territory: Quake Wars is a twitch shooter. The action is quick and deadly, and when it comes down to a one-on-one shootout, the player with the faster reflexes and better aim has the advantage.

The Defiant Map Pack is our first official look at the creations of someone other than Bungie, and I'd say the franchise is in good hands. The maps deliver exactly what fans expect: great design, beautiful artwork, and fast-paced action. Yes, the Firefight map could benefit from another vehicle but otherwise, if you're a Halo: Reach fan, this purchase is a no-brainer.

SOCOM 3: U.S. Navy SEALs appears on PS2 for another tour of duty that is improved graphically and expanded in size to surpass the series’ previous two outings.

This is by far the best XBLA title yet, and despite the relatively high price tag, it actually offers incredible bang for the buck.

Days of Ruin may be marked as a turning point in the series, and with good reason, as the title could end up being heralded by some players for pushing the series in new directions, or bemoaned by others who enjoyed the plucky war game and its comedic aspects.

After the first game turned out to not be as good as expected, the interest in a sequel waned, but AC2 did a great job of redeeming itself and with any luck those who were turned off by the original will at least give the sequel a try, because it truly is a greatly improved game.

Jonathan Blow has clearly proven himself as a videogame craftsman. Like Rez and Portal before it, Braid is a game you should own if you're into videogames -- period.

The game just doesn’t significantly benefit through using the remote. Everything that is done with the remote could just as easily be done with a Gamecube controller.

While the game may still have some areas to iron out in terms of a few gameplay quirks and missing features, it still is one of the only choices on the market, but thankfully, it's a strikingly good one.

It's sad that Xenosaga Episode III is as good as it is – had they made a game as polished, accessible, and fun as this one the first time around instead of getting all complicated on us, the series might have somehow been able to make it to six games.

If you're new to the Call of Duty series, you're in for a real treat with the single player, and the multiplayer will welcome you with open arms. If you used to like the series and have either gotten fatigued with the template or turned off by the last entry, this game deserves at least a rental, but I'd recommend a purchase. If you simply love the franchise, period, you've probably already prestiged once or twice already devoting countless hours to the online portions.

If you’re tired of the unrealistic nature inherent in titles such as "Battlefield 2" or the "Call of Duty" series and crave something more authentic, Armed Assault just may be what you’ve been waiting for. Put simply, you just won’t find anything in the simulation realm comparable to this addictive game.
