Forza 4 is great, probably the greatest, but still it lacks a breath of fresh air. It's a polished, upgraded, patched up, expanded Forza Motorsport 3. Or at least it's what Forza 3 should have been in the beginnig. Still - the game sucks you in and that's the best recommendation I can give.- Posted Oct 21, 2011

It's an amazing game with an engrossing singleplayer campaign and a complex multiplayer mode that allows for months of fun. But don't expect a massive quality leap from Uncharted 2.- Posted Nov 8, 2011

A big surprise. Very few would bet on Volition's new game and as it turns out Saints' adventures are an addictive sandbox game full of absurd sense of humor and break-neck action. The storyline pulls you in from the beginning, level variations exterminate boredom and the streets of Steelport are full of additional things to do that make the game last longer.- Posted Nov 18, 2011

Michael Ancel and Ubisoft have created an excellent and highly addictive arcade game. Rayman makes a great first impression due to a diversified gameplay and a truly artistic visual style. It has a unique atmosphere that quickly affects the player - the feeling of being part of a crazy adventure where everything depends on us is constant.- Posted Dec 5, 2011

The developers have succeeded in creating a game faithful to the tradition and at the same time a game full of new elements and mechanics, that make it feel fresh. All that, plus a great campaign and a variety of multiplayer options make Anno 2070 an excellent game and even some technical issues can't change that.- Posted Dec 5, 2011

Minecraft is not a game, it's a complicated tool, a true phenomenon that sneaked into our culture and gained nothing short of a cult following. It's a creation of the decade, a game that will be remembered the same way we remember the classics that never get old. Yes, it requires a different approach -for example, when you define your next goal, but it can absorb you totally and deliver an unforgettable experience.- Posted Dec 5, 2011

Back to Karkand is an enjoyable expansion, that increases the value of Battlefield 3 itself. You should look at it in a most positive way, but we still hope for more. DICE have hit the nail on the head and have given the fans a solid piece of great fun.- Posted Jan 18, 2012

EA Sports gives you a game that is an extremely playable snow monster. You swoop down the slopes like an avalanche and all these air tricks make you want to book a ticket to a ski resort. Plus all the special challenges that diversify the gameplay are spot on.- Posted Mar 20, 2012

Sine Mora meets all the expectations. Right now it's the best and prettiest shoot'em up on current-gen consoles. It's an artisticly amazing game - looks great and has a fitting soundtrack by Akira Yamaoka. I hope that the whole genre will draw from this game. It establishes new standards.- Posted Mar 29, 2012

Botanicula is yet another game for people looking for some unusual aesthetic emotions. Upon launching Animata Design's game you can be sure you're embarking on a short, but exceptional journey that makes ordinary adventure games seem sad and bleak.- Posted Apr 19, 2012

The guys from Red Lynx made a good decision to keep the game's formula intact. You don't change what's been tested and what works. The base of the game is the same as before, but the amount of changes is big enough to make the game feel more than just a money grab. The title says it all - it's a well-prepared evolution.- Posted Apr 27, 2012

Rockstar does it again. The new Max not only reminds us of his old tricks, but shows some new as well. Every minute you spend with Max Payne 3 gives you lots of fun and thanks to modes making you want to play again and a solid multiplayer the game won't become boring too soon.- Posted May 24, 2012

There's no denying, that Amplitude Studios' debut is spot on. There's epicness and complexity that make the player use tactical thinking, teach management, panience and provr that war isn't always the key to victory. Despite a few setbacks, Endless Space is a very well made, relaxing game. It's no revolution but clearly shows that 4X games won't be forgotten.- Posted Jul 18, 2012

Sleeping Dogs is – for me - one of the biggest surprises of 2012. I had absolutely no interest in this game and was expecting a mediocre GTA clone with some extra brutality on the top. After just 2 hours of playing my opinion changed dramatically. I haven't had the opportunity to experience a game with such a compelling hero for a long time. Every death of a friendly character had an impact on me. Even reading a report describing tortures and death of the protagonist's predecessor gave me chills. A standing ovation!- Posted Aug 30, 2012

FIFA 13 demonstrates that virtual football in the hands of EA's Vancouver studio is getting closer and closer to perfection. The number of novelties and changes is a very pleasant surprise and should make the owners of 2012 edition want to buy the newest installment. The developers made sure that there will no boredom: frequent updates, additional challenges, many online tournaments and a complex career mode create an image of a complete sports game with tons of things to offer.- Posted Sep 27, 2012

Portable version of LittleBigPlanet is a very good game without any bigger flaws. PS Vita finally gets a game that showcases the console's abilities. LBP also demonstrates that mixing classical controls with touch panels makes sense, but it has to be done as an integral part of gameplay and not just a silly gimmick. LBP for PSV is a must buy for all owners of Sony's newest console and it should become an investment for months to come (thanks to creative fans of the series).- Posted Sep 27, 2012

NBA 2K13 shoots and stores - lots of interesting improvements in the gameplay make the new basketball from Visual Concepts into something almost perfect. New game mode and exciting multiplayer matches guarantee additional hundreds hours of gameplay and the improved physics engine works quite well. It's a pity, that there isn't much history of basketball in this game - previous installments were more generous in this area. All in all, competitors aren't needed in this genre - NBA 2K13 is a terrific game.- Posted Oct 12, 2012

Mists of Pandaria is a really good expansion for World of Warcraft that offers plenty to all players, regardless of the play style they prefer. Let's hope that the promise of frequent updates will be kept and no one will get bored with existing content. Everyone should be able to answer this question: What is Mists of Pandaria? For me it's a WoW adventure I have been waiting for since 2010. Remember though, that grading Mists of Pandaria right now is simply an attempt to foresee where Blizzard's game is headed.- Posted Oct 17, 2012

Many hours spent with XCOM: Enemy Unknown turned out to be breathtaking. The atmosphere is unforgiving, but the immensely satisfying gameplay convinced me, that Firaxis Games are true masters of their craft. This is an XCOM game that should bring new fans to an almost dead genre. This game is a truly engrossing strategy and one of the contenders for the game of the year title.- Posted Oct 17, 2012

If you're of age, buy Hotline Miami. It's a great, emotionally heavy game with superb mechanics. It's a bit expensive and offers only a few hour of fun, but it's worth the price for the opportunity to ponder on man's nature. I wouldn't mind, if it was longer. You could appreciate simple, old school graphics, an excellent soundtrack and unique gameplay more. Still - the game's great!- Posted Oct 30, 2012

The new Football managers sparks some controversy - for the first time in the series's history you can use real money to buy things. For a couple of euro/dollars you can lift restrictions in the scouting network, do away with job permits or lock the possibility of being fired. Fortunately, all in all, FM 2013 is still the same, great game. No competition in this genre is a good thing, because SI Games can test and experiment as they please - without having to look at others. The direction of progress is sound and each new game is closer to real world of football.- Posted Nov 7, 2012

A follow-up that doesn't disappoint. What's more - it's simply a great game that should appeal to the veterans of the series (they can stop worrying about their favorite bald-headed assassin), as well to those players about to meet Agent 47 for the first time. The finished product is not only very complex, but extremely playable thanks to great freedom and rich content that provide high quality fun for hours.- Posted Nov 19, 2012

Far Cry 3 is one of the most interesting games of the year. The single-player mode is a great mix of a big sandbox and an atmospheric story with interesting characters. There are some mistakes here and there, but all in all everyone should be satisfied - sandbox lovers and fans of good storylines alike. What's more, the multiplayer isn't something added just because it needs to be - it's a great, big, rightful mode focused on cooperation (an additional co-op mini-campaign that borrows character progress from the standard multiplayer is a welcome bonus). Far Cry 3 is a package full of pleasant surprises. An insanely good game.- Posted Nov 22, 2012

LEGO The Lord of the Rings is a superb platformer with many stealth and puzzle sections. The game has some minor flaws, but all in all, LEGO LotR is the best game from the "brick" series. Excellent atmosphere, a diverse and pleasant gameplay - all that guarantees a high quality game. It's no revolution, but the developers have taken steps in the right direction that allow to think about an even brighter future for virtual LEGO bricks. And this is good news for all gamers in general.- Posted Nov 28, 2012

Critter Chronicles is definitely one of the best adventure games in the entire world. It has a nice, simple story, fantastic dialogue, great sense of humor, exceptionally likable characters, excellent English dubbing and really pretty graphics. Hardcore gamers can think it's too easy, but I think a higher difficulty level would cripple the game's fluid gameplay and an irritated gamer wouldn't appreciate many funny moments. Besides - the game has a hard mode. If you like adventure games, you simply can't not play Critter Chronicles.- Posted Dec 17, 2012

Dragonborn is a terrific DLC - perhaps even a better one that Bloodmoon, that it tries to recall. The game now features lots of novelties that - in connection with interesting quests, a big island to explore and dungeons to loot - create an impressive main course. The full potential has not been reached (riding dragons can be uncomfortable and the ending is kind of weak) but when compared to many contemporary expansions, Dragonborn is an excellent DLC and a must have for the fans of the series.- Posted Dec 17, 2012

Blizzard's new game has two different faces and both of them show clearly, that Heart of the Swarm is a truly great game for both fans of storylines and scripted missions, as well as for avid online players, that dream of defeating the entire Korean nation during some kind of tournament. Blizzard continues to release boxed expansions and that's a good strategy. Buying a big add-on, full of new content for the price of several DLCs is an excellent offer.- Posted Mar 19, 2013

Monaco is a lot like Hotline Miami. The latter is a great "psychedelic killing simulator" while Monaco is probably one of the best "burglar simulators" out there. All it took was simple graphics, good ideas and excellent execution (and that meant many months of hard work). Monaco is a complicated machine that delivers chaos and fun at the player's wish. It's worth a shot!- Posted May 9, 2013

Metro: Last Light isn't just another AAA shooter aimed at a typical gamer. The game's strength lies in its mature, brutal content - and I don't mean just the story (that will get its own book soon). Metro has a ton of amazing little details that make this virtual world seem very real. And what's more - the game is absolutely beautiful. Taking all this into consideration, there can be only one verdict: must buy.- Posted May 14, 2013

Brotherhood is a must have for all Assassin's Creed fans. It doesn't blow your mind the way Assassin's Creed II did, but it certainly doesn't leave an impression of wasted money. If forthcoming sequels keep the same level of quality, they can be released every six months. I don't mind.- Posted Mar 25, 2011
