    BioShock Infinite
    Like it's ancestor, Bioshock Infinite should be in the hall of fame of videogames. Not for technical reasons, as the game is not quite top notch on that front, but it is magnificent for artistic reasons. Columbia is absolutely spectacular, as the universe does not limit itself to scripted areas, and the storyline has a real point beyond entertainment. In sharp contrast to the mass of videogames that are forgotten ten minutes after the gamers are done playing with them, Bioshock Infinite will forever impact the memories of those who have the chance to experience it. FPS fans will like the different elements of the game such as fails, airtrains and Elizabeth that allow an increase in the fight's rhythm, a vast improvement over the first Bioshock. Whether you're an intellectual or a trigger happy maniac, you will definitely find a reason to enjoy this fabulous game. Long live Bioshock Infinite.

    Fire Emblem: Awakening
    Fire Emblem Awakening is, by many ways, a classic Japanese Tactical-RPG. However, Intelligent Systems has done a fantastic work to put the characters at the center of the game. By making them unique and lively, developers force the player to be more accurate and to pay attention to his tactical choices.

    Dishonored
    If you can buy one game in 2012, it should be Dishonored. From production to its ingenious gameplay, Arkhane Studios' title is outstanding, with its multiple references to many games such as Deus Ex, Thief, Bioshock or Half Life 2. It's simple, Dishonored is a 2-in-1 game you can finish either with violence and lots of action sequences, or with discretion, applying stealth strategies to kill your enemies without being seen.

    Trials Evolution
    Trials HD was already a funny and addictive game on Xbox LIVE Arcade, but with Trials Evolution, RedLynx proves to us that we can make wonderful games with great ideas and little money. And the new features such as the multiplayer mode, the large number of stages and the map editor bring Trials Evolution to the next level. A must have!

    Okami HD
    With its new face, Okami HD has never been so close to perfection, deserving its legendary status thanks to its beautiful visuals and its amazing soundtrack. Coming back from the dead, Cover Studio's title remains thrilling, offering a good opportunity to discover Amaterasu's adventures on PS3, especially for players that never had the chance to buy it the first time.

    Guild Wars 2
    It's simple: everything in Guild Wars 2 as a MMORPG title is attractive, starting with its free-to-play status. But Guild Wars 2 also proposes something new in the MMORPG world with its dynamic quests system, and its really ambitious fighting sequences that will surely please many players looking for a big and dangerous fantasy universe, holding many secrets to uncover.

    As the years go on, NBA 2K remains the best basket-ball game in the video game industry. With its partnership with Jay-Z as an executive producer, NBA 2K13 is able to offer a lot of new gameplay features and new intuitive game controls that make us think we are facing a different game, compared to previous episodes.

    Fez
    Don't be fooled. Unveiled as a retro game, FEZ is a breath of fresh air. Inspired by a lot of 80s games, FEZ is both a platform and puzzle-game that will enchant the players, thanks to its beautiful design, its ingenious riddles, and the perfect use of 2D and 3D graphics. Despite some frame-rate issues, surely FEZ is a game that you need to add to your digital game library.

    Borderlands 2
    Funnier and brilliant, Borderlands 2 is twice as good as the first episode was, something which isn't always the case for sequels. But Gearbox Software manages to improve their IP in many ways, offering one of these titles you could not possibly forget to buy in 2012, and proposing new features that will allow players to blow off some steam for hours.

    XCOM: Enemy Unknown
    At a time where FPS, RPG and action games appear on the market everyday, the return of XCOM is welcomed with a great satisfaction. If purists will be sad to find some of the original features gone, the newcomers will be pleased with XCOM : Enemy Unknown and its strategic and pleasant gaming experience that teaches a lesson to traditional and boring war games.

    Far Cry 3
    Taking the best elements that made the two previous titles so successful, correcting some of their mistakes too, Far Cry 3 is clearly the blockbuster we were waiting for. Visually and artistically, the open-world is simply amazing. The different missions the main campaign consists of are all interesting as well, and the co-op aspects that are well-introduced. The multiplayer mode will entertain players for hours thanks to ingenious gameplay ideas.

    Diablo III
    Diablo 3 is THE amazing game players were waiting for. Beautiful, nervous and featuring an entertaining campaign as well as a great multiplayer experience, Diablo 3 proves that Blizzard remains loyal to the series offering one of the best hack'n'slash titles on the market. Some mistakes like requirement of an internet connection, its simplified gameplay and few minor software bugs will be easily forgiven by the players. A must-have game.

    LittleBigPlanet PS Vita
    LittleBigPlanet PS Vita is close to what the IP can do best. With touch controls that make building things more intuitive, the title appears to be less inflexible than the PS3 and PSP versions of the game, offering a gameplay experience that players will clearly enjoy, but in exchange for long hours of training.

    FIFA Soccer 13
    FIFA 13 is maybe close to FIFA 12. However, for EA Vancouver, the first one was an evolution when the second one was a revolution. The Canadian studios manage to improve the already good bases of the IP, especially the ones on which players were looking for improvements. In another way, FIFA 13 is a game you'll need to play for hours to discover all the details that make it the greatest football simulation game to date.

    Halo 4
    With Halo 4, 343 Industries had the difficult duty to satisfy the fans of the IP, and to answer some of the questions that remained from the previous episode. Without revolutionizing the saga, the studio keeps everything that made Halo so successful but cleverly introduces a new species called the Forerunners. Globally, Halo 4 is like a super-Halo Reach, with a new graphics engine and brings enough innovations to be a good sequel.

    With Max Payne 3, Rockstar Games proves that the studio masters the action-type game in the most brilliant way, despite Max Payne 3 not being an open-world title. If there were no doubts about narration, the gameplay system also remains very atttractive thanks to the perfect introduction of the bullet time and the Shootdodge abilities, two strong aspects players are already familiar with. Rockstar Games offers a great experience, full of details, and depicts an amazing trip through Brazil and its favelas. A masterpiece at which Rockstar Games excels, introducing a tortured character whose adventures will surely give you the chills!

    Football Manager 2013
    Football Manager 2013 is the best Football Manager released at this stage in many ways. New modes arrive just in time to renew interest in the game (with the Challenges) and give an easier access to it for the newcomers (with the Classic mode). GUI improved a lot, every information you need is at your disposal. Forget about playing with the 3D engine by the way : it hasn't evolved since last year, unlike training sessions, which are simpler and more logical to organize. FM has never been so deep, so real and each decision you make will have an impact on your manager.

    Starcraft II: Heart of the Swarm
    It's tough to deny the quality of StarCraft 2: Heart of the Swarm. Little by little, Blizzard makes the original version more perfect and this expansion is logically a must-have for fans. Newborn strategists and skilled warlords will find what they're looking for. There is still one question, however: did Blizzard hold back enough new elements for the last expansion devoted to Protoss?

    DmC: Devil May Cry
    Stop worrying, this new Dante is one hell of a stylish demon killer. Ninja Theory has done a pretty wonderful job on the game's background to give a fresh start to this Capcom saga, thanks to a great work from their artists. But DmC clearly contains the old Devil May Cry DNA in its gameplay: nervous, brutal and brilliant. In spite of some approximations in the platform phases and some limits of the Unreal Engine, DmC is the perfect hybrid of new ideas and respect of the saga legacy.

    Dance Central 3
    There are not many new contents and features in Dance Central 3 that make it one of a kind. And yet, with a new Story mode, the developers offer a good opportunity for players that are eager to learn their moves alone without the need of inviting all of his neighbors. If Dance Central 3 appears to be less than Just Dance 4, the title remains interesting with its clever and difficult progression.

    Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon
    If Nintendo refuses to start developing new licenses, it's only because the firm already has enough talent to efficiently renew it's existing ones with a success others have yet to match. Luigi's Mansion 2 is a perfect example of this pattern as Luigi's new adventures in haunted houses hack your mind like drugs once the player understands the finer points of the game. The gameplay has a great finesse which is very enjoyable and the directing along the general atmosphere are almost a masterpiece. Of course the lack of a second controlling stick is not the best feature of the game and we would have liked a multiplayer mode with more rhythm. But the number of qualities provided by Luigi's Mansion 2 makes this game a classic of the 3DS lineup.

    Ni no Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch
    Ni No Kuni is not a bad game strictly speaking, but frightfully irritating. Beautiful, nearly an artistic piece, packed with enchanted moments, especially for a younger audience, the Level-5's game miss its target. With its unbalanced difficulty, Ni No Kuni can easily put children aside and its lack of thickness will bore adults. It's a shame.

    Forza Horizon
    Expressing its love for beautiful cars and intuitive driving controls, Forza Horizon offers a new arcade and fun dimension that could not be found in the Forza Motosport series. Playground Games manages to create a pleasant road trip where competition can easily replace our need to travel. With hundreds of cars to unlock, Forza Horizon proposes a well-balanced gameplay, despite some problems regarding the A.I. and the multiplayer modes.

    Batman: Arkham City - Armored Edition
    Batman Arkham City: Armored Edition is pretty much similar to Arkham Asylum. Less focused on the story, Rocksteady's game sticks to the usual codes linked to the famous Dark Knight, flying from crime scene to crime scene across Gotham City. A great liberty of action that offers diversified gameplay sequences. However, the Wii U version suffers from freezing problems and the new gameplay mechanics introduced by the GamePad are mostly anecdotal.

    Dark Souls: Prepare to Die Edition
    True Survival-RPG without peaceful moments, Dark Souls: Prepare to Die Edition will convey either fascination or hatred, being an terrible hardcore game. Players that were looking for a simple Action-RPG title will have difficulties to appreciate its tough gameplay, whereas the ones looking for the ultimate challenge will welcome Dark Souls: Prepare to Die Edition with open arms. It's a shame the PC version doesn't bring any particular features compared to the console versions.

    Darksiders II
    The Wii U version of Darksiders 2 won't revolutionize the way players were usually playing. Having the entire HUD on the GamePad is pleasant but the navigation is not as good as it should be. Moreover, the different moves that need to be done with the motion controls are not really intuitive. And yet, despite these few minor problems, Darksiders 2 is still fun to play, especially with the new "remote play" function brought by the Wii U version.

    Mortal Kombat
    As the Xbox 360 and PS3 versions, Mortal Kombat PS Vita is one of the funniest versus fighting games of Sony's console. If you like bloody battles and fatalities, this reboot of the franchise will keep you awake for a long time. But you must have in mind that the graphics are very raw, probably as raw as a PS2 game.

    Need for Speed: Most Wanted - A Criterion Game
    Criterion Games proves once again they know how to make successful racing games. After a pleasant Need For Speed: Hot Pursuit, the British video game developer offers a new version of Need For Speed: Most Wanted, bringing some Burnout elements to the IP. The title puts the leveling features aside, focusing on an experience players will enjoy instantaneously thanks to a new open-world universe and enough difficulty to hold them spellbound.
