While most of the things displayed in Forge look pretty good, one can never take away the sensation that most of its features have been rushed and that we're all beta testing it. It could greatly use a few more weeks of extra work on the coding.- Posted Dec 29, 2012

Just like an oniric experience, new PSN indie's Datura take us in an astonishing journey through beautiful, twisted Lynch, Burton & Poe's forest of different playable experiencies, emotions and sounds. It's a shame that an unfortunate control scheme through PS Move and a really short gameplay ruin what it could've been one of the most surreal and striking games of PlayStation 3.- Posted May 8, 2012

Capcom knows best what it keeps in its files, truly legendary IPs that when they're put together create a blast from the past. Just like this Capcom Arcade Cabinet, a well-selected bunch of titles in which the shoot 'em up seems to be the king of the hill. Every title comes with different game modes, even online and co-op in some cases, and nice features like the opportunity of playing a vertical shoot 'em up in horizontal. But the best is being able of pay just for the titles we want, not having to buy the entire collection.- Posted Feb 19, 2013

Manhunt 2 has suffered many delays and lots of problems before release, but it´s finally here. A game that is not suitable for everyone, due to its gore and violent nature, but it has some charm for those PS2 users who are looking for something fun for their machine. Sadly, a confusing story and some problems like close combat controls make it not as good as it could have been. The lack of the Wii motion controls makes it a less compelling experience. -

Trying to follow the leadership of WWE, the TNA is finally brought to a videogame under the hand of Midway. They offer a slightly different choice, with a faster and agile control system, but at the end the game is not as solid as expected. A poor progression system gives a slow and discouraging career mode. Moreover, even with the character editor of the game, all the fighters are just copies with the same move list. Maybe fans of TNA or wrestling in generarl can get more of it. -

Forget the PC version because this adaptation of the brilliant Spore isn’t at all on the same level as Will Wright’s new gem. Spore Creatures for the Nintendo DS uses basic gameplay based on doing missions related to finding various items and then using them to create a new monster in a nicely done monster editor. Anyway, the game isn’t bad for little kids. -

Critic Score 60
The latest adaptation of Blood Bowl on handheld is just enough to become a good game, but nothing more far from that. It doesn't matter if you're playing on a Nintendo DS or a PSP, just note that the controls and the graphic style is very much the same thing on both games. Still it's a valuable game if you're looking for something different on the strategy genre. -

At first, you feel overwhelmed by so many changes: genre, visual style, characters... Then, you must learn how to play a difficult-to-play game, with so many things to have into account. But in the end, it can be a compelling experience, with its ups and lows. Interesting, but it needs a lot of practice. -

The name of the game does great justice with the final result. Baja features a wild control system that doesn´t help to feel like driving. The game tries to go using the dirt track but at the end, it can´ t recover and finish falling down the mountain. While there are some interesting game modes, like the Baja endurance competition, the number of variables that affect our car are just too much for a normal player. The choppy framerate makes the game a bad choice on PS3, while the Xbox 360 version is smoother and much more detailed. -

As the third installment in the series, Penumbra: Requiem falls short when compared to its predecessors. Delivered as an expansion pack to Black Plague, developer Frictional Games introduced some notorious changes that generally don't fit too well. Despite some very good riddles to be solved, Requiem lacks of plot continuity and that special flavour that the originals had. -

Lord of the Rings: Conquest offers the player the same gameplay from the Star Wars: Battlefront franchise, but located in the Middle Earth. Pandemic had a great idea including two different campaigns; we love being the bad guys. But the game is a bit repetitive and offers little variety along the 16 different levels and the graphic are far from the finest examples of this generation. Although LOTR isn't a AAA game, you'll have a good time with it thanks to a great multiplayer mode. -
-
-
Critic Score 60
A2M has maintained the spirit of The Lord of the Rings: Conquest in the DS version of the game. Pandemic's game has been perfectly ported to this machine and we'll find a very similar gameplay. However, it has some technical problems like frame drops or pop-in affects and the AI don't help us at all, so we are alone against the world. But, if you are able to forget these issues, you may enjoy this title. -

Violette Summer is an interesting character, no doubt about that. But it's not that interesting the way in which Replay Games has decided to offer an strange gameplay system. There's also a lack of an interesting story, but basically it's a cheap game with nothing special to consider besides the main character and nothing more than that. -

Critic Score 60
Tree of Tranquility is very much the essence that this franchise has always dealt with. We have to harvest a different number of fields, looking forward to earn some money, to marry and all that familiar stuff that we should know very well at the date. There's nothing particularly wrong with the game, but lacks some new additions like the one's we've seen in Rune Factory. -

Dead Rising: Chop till you Drop has finally made it to the Wii with a joyful gameplay system that lacks a graphics engine too old, without any trace of the camera. The story's very much the same, without any changes at all, except one; we've lost the sandbox element to include a linear mechanic. Its a good game though not exactly as good a the Xbox 360 version. -

Sonic is back, but we still don't feel that he's found his style. Sonic and the Black Knight is very much the same game that we first discovered with its predecessor, but with a better graphic engine that makes more the experience more comfortable. Wii Music offers dozens of instruments and songs, but if you don't love playing music or have a great sense of rythm, it gets tiring after few hours. Dragon Ball: Infinite World is a fair adaptation of Akira Toriyama's series, with tons of playable characters and different scenarios, but nothing more. Critic Score 60
A game that can be fun, but overall not so good. Great visuals and an interesting combat system, with some good moments. But its story is not as good as it should be, gameplay is a bit harsh playing with keyboard, and it's so typical that it isn't a fun experience overall. -

Yuji Naka's latest work is a very strange one, probably one of the most original productions that we've seen on the Nintendo Wii platform. It's a funny proposal but still it's not as convincing as we'd like it to be. The box system is not the best choice in order to make players have a good time, but it's inevitable to understand that the style of this game's original as it can. -

Critic Score 60
Cryostasis is a good attempt to extend the FPS genre and blend it with some survival-horror ideas. Despite the fact that the game is sharp and brilliant at the visuals, it ends reusing the same ideas over and over again. Creepy environment and frozen zombies are the main hazards for Alexander Nesterov, a Russian soldier that has the ability to revive the last minutes of the dead humans. Set in the North Wind, a Russian ship on the North Pole, the game has some good ideas that end on a dead end, providing a quite good game experience. -

Square Enix's Crystal Defenders is just a correct game and one of the weak tower defense-style games of the last months. Challenging, but not specially deep; fun, but too short. Indiana Jones and the Staff of Kings offers a new adventure of biblical proportions, carried out by the most famous archaeologist of all time. Yet another fair beat 'em up for the Wii that basically set for children - this time we're able to use some of the most popular characters of Marvel's licenses. Critic Score 60

Critic Score 60
Clash of the Titans was a nice movie, at least an interesting one, but the game's quite a stun. The Unreal Engine makes a good effort in recreating the same atmosphere, using the original characters and a different perspective for the story, that we experience under the eyes of Pherseus. The Gods are going to pay their deeds, and we need to help the main character achieve his goal. Buy it if you're a fan of the hack 'n slash genre, or just a movie-lover. There's nothing new, but what we find's at least playable. -

Way of the Samurai 3 was released in Japan one year ago, and finally the latest installment in the saga comes to the European market. This third episode follows the same sandbox style set in the feudal Japan seen in the previous games. It has good ideas, the overall design in interesting but a limited map in size, a bad combat system and the outdated graphics are obstacles too visible. A good example of cause-effect videogame but only for fans of the franchise and players who like sandbox style. -

Resident Evil Zero, a 2002 GameCube's game, arrives now in Wii. This title maintains the mechanics of the saga previous to Resident Evil 4. Cryptic Studios has created a great visual adaptation of the Star Trek universe, with a faithful recreation for the followers of the saga and complete character customization system. Phoenix Wright's back with his first adventure, the original that we saw a few years ago in GameBoy Advance and later on Nintendo DS. It's exactly the same story without anything new on the gameplay system besides the use of the wiimote instead of the stylus in order to find clues and other stuff to solve the cases we must deal with. Buy it only if you haven't tried to other versions of it. -

-
Critic Score 60
It's not deep, it's short, it's crazy, it's basic, but in the end it's fun. Muscle March is not our typical game nowadays, but it delivers what it promises: seven guys half-naked running after thieves. It's best to enjoy the game with friends, as it doesn't offer much for single player. -

-
Critic Score 60
White Knight Chronicles is a letdown, far away from the promises that Level 5 -the team behind Rogue Galaxy or Dragon Quest VIII, among many others- made at the very beginning of its development. The story's too simple and plain to be taken seriously, just like the battle system. It's a good game on technical terms, thought, with an interesting graphic engine and funny designs for the monsters we hunt during our adventure. It's a worthy buy for the followers of the genre, but for the rest, it's best to look -or wait- for other chances on the JRPG world. -
-
-
Critic Score 60
Although the look and feel of Resident Evi 5's new chapter is really close to those of the first adventures of the saga, it lacks the action, the riddles and the spirit of the best Resident Evil stories. The new Mercenaries Reunion mode is merely the addition of a few fighters and we still miss some of our favourite characters. At least the price is not expensive, and the adventure fills an important gap, although we already knew almost everything of what it happened in the Spencer Estate. -

Souls of Zill O'll is overall a good action RPG, combining an interesting storyline with a fun gameplay system. However, it lacks some polish and variety, while the idea of controlling three characters is not fully exploited. CPUs Goddesses Girls are back in virtual town of Gamindustri, this time in a back to the 80s past and the whole arcade and pixel tradition of that decade. Larger, richer and harder than Hyperdimension Neptunia mk2, Victory has a good battle system and a parodic, constant rhythm of guilty fun & jokes about games, but too much dialogues that don't say really anything, poor graphic visuals and a difficulty that makes us to grind constantly to be able to beat a ridiculously difficult Final Bosses. In a point somewhere between the masterpiece D&D: Tower of Doom and the nightmarish Double Dragon 2: Wander of the Dragons is where we could situate this Sacred Citadel, a spin off that will be preparing the way for its older brother Sacred 3. Visually vibrant and colourful in a comic-esque style, it's a shame that its walkthrough seems like a rollercoaster, with great, funny playable action parts and others boring or insanely harder. Give it a try if King of Dragons means something for you. Definitely get it if you planned to play it in coop with a couple of friends, the greatest element of the whole game and its reason to be.- Posted Apr 18, 2013

Path of the Furon is, by far, the worst game in the Destroy All Humans franchise. Technically very flawed, with a very bad gameplay. We can't understand how destruction can be so boring and unappealing, but that's what this game has to offer. Better let the franchise die. -

A girl, a cowboy hat and a pair of katanas are not a serious argument in any way. Onechanbara features three different characters involved on a nonsense background story, but the main attraction of the game is seeing the half naked girls slashing and cutting hordes of zombies. Too bad to be good, and so it is. Onechanbara packs as one of the worst Xbox 360 games, featuring production values that resemble some of the games on the mid 90´s -

Many punched and beaten, but all give the air. Ready 2 Rumble Revolution try to propose something fun in Wii boxing, but handle it wrong. The motion sensor is not the best ally when it comes to climbing into the ring. However, humor and cartoons are still present in this saga. -

Uwe Boll did it again, but now in videogame form. One of the worst games ever seen on PC, this FPS should have been canned before release: it lacks a story, its gameplay is horrible, and it has no real purpose. Its best feature: that it's a short game, so pain doesn't last long. -

Although there were high expectations for this game, there isn't anything we expected. A huge setback for one of the most notorious characters today.- Posted Apr 25, 2011

We have played many times this game. It hasn't news and the use of the bad 3D is an excuse to sell it. Short, ugly and boring. It's not the funny puzzle that it was.- Posted May 4, 2011

Simply unplayable. If the controls of a game don't work in every single case, that game is not ready to release, Kinect or not. Would you have a Mario where the jump worked "sometimes"? Well, this is what this Steel Battalion Heavy Armor offers. Avoid.- Posted Jun 21, 2012

A shooting game that fails to understand how a Shoot'em Up works. If you fail with the most basic core of your game mechanic, it says enough about your game.- Posted Aug 16, 2012

Family Guy: Back to the Multiverse is terrible, a bad idea that is malformed. Brian and Stewie deserve a better game. Not this unplayable, short and ugly TPS.- Posted Nov 28, 2012

Poor, short, unambitious. As a visual novel it's completely forgettable given the lack of actual content, narrative or character development. As an "adult game" it won't arouse anyone with static images and poor descriptions of the actions, and as mini-game card title it's utterly boring.- Posted Jan 16, 2013

A TV show like AMC's The Walking Dead wants a game to match. Survival Instinct is not that, at all. Ugly, unoriginal and boring, this FPS has many mistakes and bugs, besides being short and without intensity. Don't buy it, even though you love Daryl.- Posted Mar 22, 2013

Dragonball Evolution is the antichrist of the latest era of videogames. An incredibly bad fighting game that use the name of the cult classic anime/manga from Akira Toriyama in the worst way we've seen in a long time. -

Double Dragon II doesn't deserve this aberration. 1200 Microsoft Points for a short and repetitive sequence of levels where again and again you must press the same buttons. Its gameplay is worse than 25 years ago. In addition, its graphics and sound are very poor.- Posted Apr 15, 2013
