Dead Space is a pleasant surprise, it takes the best elements of classic terror sci-fi films and combines them with some of the most notorious ideas of games like Bioshock, Condemned, Resident Evil 4 or Doom 3. Instead of an improved but unoriginal copycat, the team managed to give this mix a distinctive personality, making it a great experience on its own.

Laharl, the Prince of the Netherworld, has been asleep for two years. when he wake up, his vassall Etna tells him that his father is dead... after choking with a cookie. And this is just on of the most hilarious moments that will give you Disgaea DS. It also has an amazing gameplay that takes the SRPG premise and make it a whole new thing, more complex, deep and unique. Disgaea was one of the best PS2 games -- It later became a PSP must have, and now, it's happening the same on the DS version: if you like the genre, don't doubt it.

This game takes what it needs to become one of the greatest RPGs of the Dual Screen, with a superb story that pushes everything what we've seen so far beyond the limits. Its not the perfect Dragon Quest though,with too many combats and a weak monster system that still have to prove its real value. We'll be looking forward to DQVI.

InFamous is a superheroes' different history. Cole handles the options and power that the electricity has given him, and with them he can do the good or get squarely into the dark side. With a few excellent controls, many power unlockables and the freedom complete to move and to use them for Empire City, this game is the "sleeper" PS3 game of this year. At least it has demonstrated a quality and an amusement within reach of few games.

Addictive, that's the only way in which a game like Bash Party can be described. The sequel of Boom Blox couldn't be more well-focused on every single way, not only including more gameplay styles, but also but tons of new levels -a sum of 400-, with plenty of bizarre and funny characters that give the game a strange, but fancy look. At last, SHIFT is the change we were expecting in the NFS franchise, after so many years of tuning. Now we take part in the professional racing world, and we can drive with the best in-car view we have ever seen in a videogame. With plenty of new gameplay modes, the inclusion of WMP and a bunch of new additions, 'Resort' is set to be one of the most important videogames of this summer. It's a shame that there's no online features, but still it has everything of what it takes to become a blockbuster in no time.

Resident Evil: The Darkside Chronicles is the best shooter on rails available on the Wii. Excellent graphical section, intense and spectacular action, filled with extras that increase their duration... It's impossible not to exhibit a smile when returning to Resident Evil 2 and RE: Code Veronica to play in a totally different way.

Fallout 3 gets new content and Broken Steel set a new quality level on the downloadable content for this game. Expanding the level cap up to 30 and adding a nice set of new items, enemies and weapons is only one of the features of this expansion. Also, it really makes you feel the way the original did and let you play with your characters forever so it's worth buying if you expend a lot of time developing your avatar.

If you're looking for a funny, strange and interesting Real Time Strategy game, don't think it twice, just go and buy it. Guitar Hero makes a good comeback with the polished and refined version of its predecessor with attractive visuals, a now more accessible but still difficult to learn GHStudio, and a couple of differences on the main modes here and there. Mafia II follows the steps of the first one, showing that there is more than one way to use sandbox space. Others will argue that the beautifully built Empire Bay is underused as a virtual space, but one must praise the ambition of a studio willing to build such scenario to add character and background to his heavily scripted story. F1 2010 is a great game, one of the best racing games this year. It recreates faithfully such a technical competition, both gameplay-wise and visually-wise. If the AI was harder, this would be one of the best games in the genre. Online modes could be much more interesting.

Dead Rising 2 is quite similar to the first game, but the formula still works. A fun, huge, entertaining and compelling game, with many things to do and much to discover. Unfortunately, it lacks the depth of the original one in terms of story, and it doesn't feel as fresh as the first time.

Ultimate Ninja Storm 2 is a great follow-up. It's overall the same game, but with new and more characters than the first game, a new online mode, and even more fun and spectacular than the previous game. CyberConnect2 did a great job recreating the Shippuden anime series on this videogame.

Platinum Games' last tittle proves the wait was worth it. Directed by Shinji Mikami, it delivers non-stop fast-paced action, breathless battles that boosts the adrenaline to the highest levels.

Fable III is a polished take of everything that has worked in the series, adding extra values with some really good ideas around the interface and visual presentation. But the core idea and mechanics remain too close to those of Fable II, and the larger concepts that should have taken the series to greater heights fall a bit short in the end.

You really have to think before you act, planning how you're going to attack in order to get greatest amount points that is possible, taking into account not only the enemies, but the environment. But when you finish the game... you have two options: you're really competitive and want to be the first one in the charts, or you just abandon the game because of its lack of cooperative mode or an interesting multiplayer. Regardless, but you should not miss such a unique campaign.

One that will take us more than hours merely in its offline Campaign mode.

Rockstar invites us to the great city of Los Angeles. You are a newbie who tries to climb the ladder of success in the world of urban racing. Race against all kind of rivals, escape from police, and enjoy the many modes available, both online and offline. The lower feature of the game is its huge difficulty, which affects the fun factor.

Conviction is a good game, faithful to the series, with great visuals and a perfect mix of action and stealth. But the solo experience is extremely short, there are several AI flaws, and all of the multiplayer game modes are just for up to two players. Good ideas, but it's not as polished as previous entries.

Prototype has great potential, but unfortunately, it does not deliver everything we expected it to. Great fun, lot of possible evolutions and powers, action and a lot of blood; everything well mixed in a game that should have been a little more polished in order to improve its presentation.

Ghostbusters on Wii is very much the same game that we tried on PS3 a couple months ago, but with a new gameplay style based on wiimote/nunchuk and a very interesting graphic engine. The fun's still in there, lacking an online feature that's replaced for the co-op mode.

Ghostbusters does honor the movie. An entertaining game, with a huge array of gameplay possibilities. Some technical issues (judgements), problems with the AI, and a steep learning curve are the main problems with a game that could have fared much better. Nevertheless, it is a game recommended to the fans of Ivan Reitman's film, and to those who love the comedy of the 80s. To be a ghostbuster is the ultimate experience.

Blood Bowl features some interesting ideas, like introducing a real-time component to the universe of the board game. Furthermore, it really achieves the look and feel of the miniature game, providing a experience that resembles the original product without any doubt. Despite the fact that this is a product that fit good the fans liking, it can be interesting for every kind of gamer. Only the real time mode, that quickly become a nonsense melee is a visible drawback for a good planned and constructed game.

Arcade racing game with ATVs as the starring roles. Clean, soft and detailed graphics with a nice taste in stage and acrobatics design. The ability to play online along with 15 more people is its strongest point, though the core mechanic of the game itself proves to addictive on its own, being entertaining and spectacular as few others. Should it have more variety in vehicles to play with, it could even stand up to Motorstorm 2.

Red Alert 3 is not the deepest RTS you can find, and its hilarious video sequences gives it a juvenile tone, but that is part of the fun. Rare took the garden-pinata-simulator and upgraded it at every possible level: better visuals, more creatures, a great coop mode, and several new features to decorate our place. With a much better tutorial at the beginning and the incredible Pinata Vision, Trouble in Paradise is the best simulator for Xbox 360, and everyone can enjoy it thanks to its simplicity.

RARE built a pocket -but charismatic- paradise for the Nintendo DS with this new addition to the Viva Piñata series. Take care of some little paper-animals, cultivate flowers, and keep your garden tidy in this brilliant adaptation of the Xbox 360 game that also includes multiplayer options and a very colorful graphic engine that takes the DS to the limit. Play just five minutes and you’ll get lost; it’s incredibly fun.

After several years of improving, NBA Live 09 achieves what we wanted to see in a next-gen basketball game. Lara Croft is back with her best abilities in a game that combines the spirit of the first adventures and the innovation of later iterations. Inspired in one of the most beloved games produced in Spain, La Abadía del Crimen for Spectrum, The Abbey is a really good graphic adventure with great production values, excellent animation and a noteworthy sense of humour. It can be a bit short for the faster players, but the extras and quality of the content compensates for it.

MotorStorm: Pacific Rift features everything that made the original successful: wild, arcade races with plenty of vehicles to choose. It offers everything we always wanted to see in a Naruto game, using RoaN as basis and improving in every possible aspect. A very satisfying experience that we hope will continue this road towards perfection.

Rune Factory is no less than a Harvest Moon or a typical JRPG game. Its outstanding graphics are just another way to justify the incredible amount of objects and diary labors that gamers will be able to live after day 1. Don't ask too much to the story though, it's quite simple, but it's still interesting enough to keep players focused on their main focus: earn a living.

Despite its looks, quite similar to the Smackdown franchise, Legends is a very different game. It has all the charm of a huge bunch of timeless stars of the WWE, and it offers a more dynamic and faster gameplay. Unfortunately, it's rather short: its game modes are just a few hours of fun, before relying just in the Exhibition modes.
