Bioshock is a masterpiece and it has not lost its shine. It´s one of the most visually amazing games you can find in PS3, Rapture is still a breathtaking scenario, the combat mechanic is rich and demand the player to be creative and think on a tactical way instead of the usual mindless approach, and overall, is one of the most magnificent games you can add to your collection.

Grand Theft Auto IV means the matureness for Rockstar, abandoning -though not completely- all its insane humor and arcade action, this chapter of Niko Bellic captures the essence of the american society with black humor, great narrative and the characteristic 'sandbox' gameplay that the franchise has featured all this years. For the PC version all stays the same: only the great technical optimization, the original video-editor and the 32 players online modes are present as news. But, when you leave a masterpiece exactly the same, its a right move.

Super Mario Galaxy was considered one of the best platform games ever and we couldn't expect the same for its sequel. However, what Super Mario Galaxy 2 has achieved is amazing: every level contains a different and really original quest. You will play a totally new game inspired by the first game, but without copying it at all. In addition to this, Nintendo has also fixed most of the minor failures of its predecessor, including the low difficulty level.

Finally, the eagerly awaited sequel to the original bestseller Starcraft is here. While Wings of Liberty will not break the mold in the world of real-time strategy gaming, it surely stands out as the best package to be found in this genre. For the competitors that will try to seize it in the future, Starcraft 2 is - simply put - the new benchmark for years to come.

Killzone 2 rises from the ashes of the E3 2005 trailer to prove itself as even better; the most outstanding, immersive and technologically advanced first person shooter available for any console on the market. The dark and grim world created by Guerrilla hosts a crude conflict on Helghast soil, divided in 10 acts packed with a variety of situations portrayed with an epic tone. With a polished enemy AI, a huge multiplayer, a well balanced and powerful arsenal, 7.1 sound, great voice acting among some other strong points, few complaints can be made; only the lack of coop and some roughness in the allied AI. The rest is faithful and loyal to the promise Guerrilla made 4 years ago. Mission accomplished.

Not happy with that, the studio shows their will to surpass themselves with a very improved combat system which does a lot of right things to approach the gameplay of the best third person shooters available. An incredible game that takes everything that we've seen so far in the strategy genre and pushes it even further to become one of the greatest games on the Wii system. You just never get tired of finding new items, places - of expanding this weird and fantastic kingdom that's settled on a Nintendesque world. Lots of chances for us players to have fun in what's probably the longest adventure for this console.

Rock Band 2 is, basically, everything that the first one had. Which is not good, but great news. But everything that Harmonix has added this time makes the package even better. Improved, more sensitive instruments, the great backwards compatibility and indeed the new online co-op for both Band Tour and Multiplayer modes are the best of the mix. One of the few games which a sequel makes sense.

Atlus' latest game for PlayStation 2 is with no doubt a masterpiece for this console. It takes the genre far away from what we're used to seeing nowadays. It's not the best JRPG so far, though, but it has all it takes to become an instant classic. If you're willing to enjoy a never-ending game with a immersive story and a lot of characters to deal with, do not hesitate, this is your best choice.

Resistance 2 is far better than the original. Technical improvements, more balanced gameplay, lots of exciting situations and visually spectacular. Both online and offline modes can offer tons of hours of fun, and being able to play with up to 60 users in a same battle is such an unforgettable experience. Chimeras are harder than ever, and Nathan must defend USA from their assault. One of the best 2008's FPS. Period.

Bend Studio's has made a very good action game, with loads of enemies, weapons and scenarios that mixed with the multiplayer features makes Resistance: Retribution a must have. PSP has waited too long to receive a game of this characteristic that's able to sustain an immersive story that stands between both Resistance's for PS3. And there's James Grayson, a remarkable character that will gain your sympathy on the first minutes of gameplay.

Sports Interactive created the greatest football manager yet. Huge, with an incredible number of leagues from all around the world, complex but also really intuitive, and with the added feature of 3D matches where we can watch our team in real time. Just a couple of technical issues keep the game away from being nearly perfect.

Live to ride, ride to live. Lost & Damned is finally out with a bunch of new goodies that'll take the DLCs to a new level compared to what we've seen so far on this generation of consoles. Johny Klebitz is a very interesting character that resembles the style of Niko Bellic --not much talking but definitely a lot of action in a complete and fully new GTA experience. New multiplayer modes, weapons, primary and secondary missions and hours of joy in a new benchmark for the DLC.

It's quite incredible when we find out that an original classic is not only remade with an impressive taste, but also that it's one of the best games on the Wii console so far. There's a mixture between graphics, gameplay and funny situations that makes the game almost impossible for anyone to stop playing it. It's a must-have if you like sports, and if you don't, you still have plenty of things to find with this one.

BioShock 2 is a great game, despite being unable to surpass the original in any aspect. A good second visit to Rapture, that will delight fans of the first one. An engaging story, great visuals and a good gameplay, both on single player and multiplayer.
