Mass Effect 2 maintained the promise of delivering a worthy sequel to the first game, improving it with a tighter shooter component and the brave choice of streamlining the RPG one. Our only complain is the sub-par story, lacking the complexity and intrigue of the first one. Despite this, it remains a game capable to amaze any sci-fi lover. -

The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim is, undobtedly, Bethesda's masterwork: a deep, pure and vast RPG capable of satisfying both fans and newcomers to the genre thanks to great gameplay and an involving story. A strong contender to the title of best game of the year and of the entire generation.- Posted Nov 10, 2011

Red Dead Redemption is one of those one-in-a-generation games capable of setting a new bar in its genre. Absolutely unmissable by anyone. -

Portal 2 builds upon the great gameplay of the first game, adding a compelling and humorous story and a great co-op campaign. If you played the first Portal, this game won't feel as fresh and innovative to you and the developers lowered the difficulty bar too; nonetheless, this is a very recommended game that every lover of logic puzzles should buy.- Posted Apr 19, 2011

A great game, that successfully builds upon the foundation of the first title delivering us one of the best super heroes and action games around. It lacks highly memorable moments like the ones in the original game and delivers a quite disappointing final boss fight, but its incredible content richness and great gameplay make it an highly suggested buy.- Posted Oct 23, 2011

Modern Warfare 2 was super-hyped, but Infinity Ward didn't disappoint: this is undoubtedly the most spectacular FPS around, made with extraordinary care and attention to details. If you're looking for an astonishing single player experience or a deep and enduring multiplayer, this is the game to buy. -

A great game with awesome settings, a deep and extremely complex story and charming characters. It left a bitter taste in our mouths for not fully reaching its initial ambitions, especially regarding Elizabeth's interactions in combat and for lacking some of the magic present in the first BioShock, but it's nonetheless an excellent game which surely deserves to be played.- Posted Mar 29, 2013

Street Fighter IV is an 18 years jump back in time, firmly keeping a foot in the present: a great technical and artistic realization couples a classical gameplay with some nice additions, making it a real next-gen game. Capcom managed to bring us one of the most challenging and entertaining beat'em ups of all times, but we suggest playing it using a Fight Pad or an Arcade Stick to exploit it to the max. -

Mass Effect 3 is a great conclusion, fully satisfying and highly spectacular, to BioWare's sci-fi trilogy. A must buy for every lover of good games and great, emotional stories, as well as the first real nominee to the title of GOTY 2012.- Posted Mar 10, 2012

Batman: Arkham Asylum has been a real surprise, delivering us a great action game, with a deep stealth/tactical gameplay, great loyalty to the original comics and a strong plot. Undoubtedly the best comics-based video game so far, and one of the best games released this year: a real milestone. -

Halo: Reach finds its strength in a varied and balanced gameplay, a deep and dramatic story and gorgeous environments, aside from the many multiplayer modes with virtually infinite customization possibilities. We're only left with a little bit of delusion for the lack of really surprising and memorable moments during the story, like the ones the series accustomed us to. Notwithstanding, Bungie closes its run on Halo with a great game that both fans and newcomers will find highly satisfying. -

An amazing title, greatly improved both in gameplay, simulation and graphics, and with some great additions like the stunning Autovista mode. We would have loved if the developers pushed the envelope further by adding night racing and weather conditions, but it's nevertheless an unmissable buy for every motorsports lover.- Posted Oct 6, 2011

Gears of War 3 is what everyone was waiting for: a great ending for an epic saga with state of the art visuals, rock-solid gameplay and a feature-rich multiplayer. It obviously lacks that innovation and surprise factor that we can't expect from the last episode in a trilogy, but it is however one of the best and most polished games this gen.- Posted Sep 18, 2011

Assassin's Creed II is all the first game should have been if the authors developed more deeply plot, characters and gameplay: being able to rely on a well proven engine, they focused this time on a making the game more interactive and varied, even if it’s missing some of the wow factor the first game had two years ago. A fascinating action-adventure, full of things to do and moved buy an intriguing story: a must buy. -

Extreme, provoking, enthralling, adrenalinic and a bit kitschy. Bayonetta is the new queen of stylish action games, with inspired and flawless graphics and a beautiful and crazily irreverent main character: it's always a pleasure fighting the magnificent enemies thanks to a perfect control system and a very balanced difficulty. A perfect game to kick off 2010. -

Left 4 Dead 2 is strongly suggested to everyone who prefers to play cooperatively with friends, sharing an adventure of horror and fear rather than fighting in the usual multiplayer FPS's: to complete the five different campaigns you'll have to act tactically and in strict collaboration with the other players. -
