Conviction can't be the perfect epilogue for the saga. The new Sam Fisher's adventure is well structured, with a fluid and fast gameplay and an intricate and addictive plot but it has several technical glitches and imperfections. But if you don't mind about these problems, you'll play Conviction from the start until the end and will appreciate every single part of its gameplay.

Relic has done a wonderful job with this original and innovative RTS, cleaning away the strategy archetypes we're used to playing with. But sadly there are several deficiencies, starting with the repetitive missions and a difficult to master multiplayer. A must buy for strategic fans but not the perfect title we were looking for.

MadWorld is an awesome action game, filled to the top with stylish graphics, exaggerated violence and black humour: it is indeed the kind of product that the Wii hardcore gamers were waiting for, but the biggest part of the audience won’t event notice it. This is a serious nominee for 2009 “best game no one ever played” award.

Patapon 2 maintains the mechanics and atmosphere of the first chapter, but it's further then its natural evolution. In comparison to the original title it has in fact brought on our PSP a series of options, additional formality, variety and complexity that decidedly bring it to a superior level in comparison to the simplest rhythm game with strategic elements that we knew.

All in all, Boom Blox Bash Party is an excellent sequel, a great multiplayer experience and the proof that it is actually possible to create a casual game capable of hooking up even the most harcore audience.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 is a great game, but not as great as we expected. The revamped multiplayer and new spec ops are worth the price, but the single player is too much similar to the first episode and it lacks the excellence of the story telling of Modern Warfare.

Simply the best basketball simulation out there. Some gameplay mechanics could be better and players' faces would need a further improvement in the technical department. An highly recommended game and not just for basket fans.

Seabass and Konami finally made big changes inside the PES formula, with many improvements in every aspect and a great atmosphere surrounding their production. It's a pity that the game is still limited by some automatisms that prevent it from being a real revolution, but this year we can surely look forward for the future iteration of the saga.

Gran Turismo 5 is marked by many highs and lows in every aspect of the game. It looks like Polyphony (what a joke) needed a bit more time to polish everything and put more attention to the online part. But still, the game is so much fun and retain the core gameplay of the series, with an excellent made single player and the smell of the race passion in every bit of the code.

What Criterion Games has done with Hot Pursuit is immediately visible when you start the new Need for Speed. There are several problems within the gameplay starting with few races modes and too much aliasing on screen. Other than these imperfections Hot Pursuit is a wonderful arcade racing game that everyone can really enjoy.

The are several flaws in the gameplay starting from the light plot to the unusual checkpoints and savegames system and the minimal multiplayer. But at the same time RAGE does its work as a wonderful first person shooter and the racing section works well too.

RAGE is no doubt a great game. It's exciting, keeps you enthralled for hours, has an excellent combat system and some very good AI. The boundary elements such as the races are more entertaining than what you'd expect, and the single player campaign lasts at least 15 hours. However, from a technical standpoint id's last effort could really disappoint the ones who were expecting something more.

The World Ends with You: Solo Remix is a more than welcome release on the App Store, taking one of the best recent Jrpg to the iOS platform. Even if the original still plays better, the adaptation to the touch screen could be considered a success. Shame on Square Enix for the absurd price, the separate iPhone and iPad versions and the lacking of support for the new iPad Retina Display.

Yet again, TT Games delivers a satisfying, familiar and yet surprising LEGO game. It is also plagued by technical issues and annoying glitches which make it somewhat less enjoyable than it should be.
