The new features like the spy and the financial takeover are perfectly integrated into the new multiplayer mode. In addition, Related Designs has implemented enormously entertaining scenarios which compensates for the missing campaign mode. A very good add-on.

A masterpiece of a puzzle game, one that raises the bar for an entire genre. Filled with varied exciting levels, strong art design and a stirring soundtrack, this is one game to be remembered for a long, long time.

Fantastic visuals, fast combat and clever nanosuit mechanics more than compensate for some linear leveldesign, a mediocre story and unvaried enemy design. It's not as good as the first game in the series, but it's a great shooter nonetheless.

A spectacular arcade racing game with brilliant graphics. The driving feels terrific, the amount of content is staggering and the faux Australia is joy to explore. Need for Speed, take heed.

Especially the new offense AI with its new pathing routines makes FIFA 13 worth buying. But also the other new features like First-Touch-Control and tactical free-kicks enhance the franchise's playability. Add the large variety of game modes and licenses and you get one of the best sports games on the market.

Due to AI improvements and the players' better pathing, PES 2013 feels smoother than last year's incarnation of the series. Coupled with new features like PES Full Control or player ID you get the best PES so far on next generation consoles. Too bad though that the AI still tends to be absent in some situations and that the graphics haven't been improved since 2010.

Not only is Bethesda's masterpiece a worthy successor to the precious Fallout franchise, but it is also, simply put, one of the best action-roleplaying games in years.

With much more culture, the world congress and international trade routes Civilization V gains more depth than ever. Not only for fans of Civilization V is Brave New World worth a recommendation. With his second expansion confirmed Civilization V its position as leader in the genre of turn-based strategy games. I see much nights with less sleep in the next weeks.

This year's FIFA Manager 11 comes with a few new features regarding the transfer market and the players' abilities. FIFA Manager 10's big news - the online mode - has also been overhauled to run smoother. Though the game has been improved mainly in detail, the overall experience makes it the best manager experience in the last few years. A must-have for football fans.

With a great story, memorable characters and outstanding cutscenes the single player campaign easily overcomes most of its very few shortcomings. And the multiplayer mode is exactly what we've come to expect from Blizzard: it is fast, unforgiving and a hell of a lot of fun.

Black Ops is quite a pleasant surprise: On the one hand former second class developer Treyarch reaches the Infinity Ward's standard of gameplay quality and inventiveness for the first time. On the other hand Treyarch manages to set a course of their own through the unusual story and a ton of tributes to other masterpieces of action, be it movie or game. Plus Activision conceded the time and resources to Treyarch to aspire a really great game. And that's something you'll notice immediately. You'll recognize the passion and the effort that went into making this new episode. Black Ops delivers Call of Duty gaming at its best as well as a distinctly individual approach to the whole scenario. Infinity Ward will have to put their shoulders to the wheel to outplay Black Ops with the next CoD.

Far Cry 2 is far from perfect, but the gorgeous African landscapes and thrilling gun-fights make up for the annoying enemy camps with their constantly spawning occupants. Ubisoft delivers an immersive First-Person-Shooter, which is easily on a level with Call of Duty 4.

SWTOR: Bioware did it! Their first step into the "World of MMORPGS" is quite well done. Though the graphics in Star Wars: The Old Republic are not up-to-date and the game-mechanics are "business as usual", the game offers so much fun and exquisite entertainment. Especially the Story-Telling is awesome - every quest is told with good voice-actors. Nice Star-Wars-classes, funny PvP-arenas, nice space-opera-missions - definately a MMORPG with a very good start and so much potential for improvement in the further months/years.

Despite the new setting Max Payne 3 captures the cynical dark atmosphere of the series perfectly. New gameplay elements like the cover-system are implemented very good, but the lack of innovation makes the action a bit tedious towards the end. Nonetheless Rockstar delivers a good game and even more important: it deserves the name Max Payne.

Inquisition offers tons of rpg-gameplay-elements. The classic high-fantasy-setting combines action- and tactical combat, rich characters with lots of dialogue-options. On top you’ll find yourself as a leader of the inquisition-faction who has to build up a majestic stronghold. Graphics and sound are great, but technical issues like glitches and bugs with animations are also part of the game. Menus are not optimized for PC and the skill-system is highly focused on combat.

Project Cars makes you feel like being a real race driver, thanks to great graphics and a truly immersive helmet cam. With close to real life physics, a large selection of race cars from several eras and detailed courses from all over the world Slightly Mad Studios‘ game is a true winner. Multiplayer is good, but could be more polished.

The amount of original licences and the quality of the atmosphere inside the virtual stadiums fills every true fan's heart with joy. Nevertheless there are some minor annoyances with the new impact engine producing absurd results and if you turn of the assistances for passing and shooting, you'll experience considerably less precision than in PES 2012. So on the pitch it comes down to a matter of taste between the more organic PES 2012 and the more tactical approach of FIFA 12.

With the clever religion system, the renewed combat and the extra content, Gods & Kings is a must have for fans of Civ 5. The small number of new scenarios is a small letdown though. But at least the ones included kick ass, especially the steampunk scenario.

A brilliant mix of shooter and role-playing, filled with great characters, excellent design, lots of action and clever dialogue. It's a shame though that Bioware did not improve the inventory and skill system of the first game, but actually reduced it even more. I really wished there were more customization options, more ways to develop and gear up my characters. But all these are merely small points of criticism, since there is so much to feel and experience in this game. Mass Effect 2 is a thrilling, emotional ride and ultimately every bit as good as its predecessor.

In terms of combat and exploration, this is by far the best game in the series. Bethesda created a compelling world, rich in detail and full of surprises. That being said, it's not necessarily a great roleplaying game: The dialogue system has been significantly dumbed down, skills are gone and there are only few quest decisions to speak of. Plus, the main story (which revolves around the shallow faction system) does not offer the kind of freedom we have come to expect from a Fallout game. Thus, it may not be the RPG that long-time Fallout fans have been hoping for. The overall experience, however, is still amazing.

Assassin's Creed 3: The historical setting is well done, the game is full of great content, you can spend weeks of playing Assassin's Creed 3, having much fun with the new hero Connor. On the other hand, the game could have been released in a more polished state, and though the PC version is much better than that of the consoles, the graphics are not state-of-the-art.

In the first release of the episodic Hitman-game you got access to the prologue and the first story mission. The sandbox-design of the levels is great and offers tons of variations how to fulfill your contracts – just like in Blood Money. In addition you can play the live events (escalation, contracts, illusive targets). Though there are just two locations available within the first release, it can be very repetitive after some time. Gameplay is well done, but technical issues like glitches, minor bugs and performance drops can be frustrating.
