One of the most entertaining games ever. The guitar-like controller and the music selection are excellent, and the four difficulty levels offer fresh challenges each time you go up a notch. Mosh time! [May 2006] -

Super Mario Galaxy is full of imagination and character. It looks and sounds great and the controls are both versatile and accurate. The only negative is the low difficulty during the first half of the game. Even with that it’s still the best platformer since Mario 64. [Dec 2007] -

Looks like a movie and plays like a great sci-fi novel. The shooter-based combat system might feel simplistic at first, but it's really a boon that great enhances the pacing of the game. The action is quick and you constantly feel that you're on the move. Mass Effect is just about the best 30 hours of video gaming you can get in 2007. [Dec 2007] -

Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion finally has what the other Elder Scrolls games have striven for: a fascinating and believable fantasy world with tons of things to do and enjoy. Halo 3 is the best game in the series. Not only that, it is the best console shooter ever. Yet, at the same time, it fails to feel as fresh as "Halo 2" did when it arrived. While "Halo 2's" dual-wielding revolutionised the Halo gameplay, Halo 3's equipment does no such thing. [Oct 2007] -

Grand Theft Auto IV delivers on most of the huge expectations placed on it. The graphics are beautiful next-gen quality, the storyline is a solid piece of writing and manages to feel serious yet entertaining, but most of all the game's environment is amazing. There's so much to do in Liberty City that the game quite literally offers something for everyone. [June 2008] -

No more frustrating fiddling with vague motion sensing remote. Controls are accurate and Brawl supports almost any pad you can plug it in. It's fast and furious and on the bonus side, Super Smash Bros. Brawl suits perfectly for the beginners and advanced gamers. [June 2008] -

Contains some of the best moments ever seen in first person shooters. Half-Life 2 is a true classic and would be worth getting for Xbox 360 or PC even without the additional features of The Orange Box. Team Fortress may be old but is streamlined to perfection, and Portal is damn fun, with one of the best endings ever. [Nov 2007] -

The best party game ever. It takes the mechanics from Guitar Hero and takes it to the next level. There is just something magical in the feeling when everybody is playing well and the crowd starts to sing along. The only downside is the questionable durability of the instruments, especially the bass pedal breaks up quite easily. [Mar 2008] -

Another brilliant add-on for an excellent strategy game. The new content is well designed and makes the somewhat dull endgame more interesting. Also the mods and scenarios are quite nice, some being actual games in their own right. [Sept 2007] -

Mass Effect 2 gives you an opportunity to play a role, but I'd be hesitant to call it a role-playing game. So what is it exactly? A really robust action-adventure? Can't tell for sure, but once you get past the fact that you're not playing a RPG you really can't help but to enjoy what game has to offer. Mass Effect 2 is truly a genre-defying masterpiece. Forza Motorsport 3 takes a good game (Forza 2) and makes it even better. There is simply tons of stuff to do, incredible amount of cars to drive and new things to try out. The cars handle very realistically and driving is always fun, even with slower vehicles. The makers really love cars, and the passions shows in every aspect of the game. Driving games don't get much better than this. [Nov 2010] -

Succeeds in its near impossible task and actually improves on the almost perfect Skate 2. Difficulty levels, changes in challenge structure and the new cityscape are all just golden, and while the improvements are rather minor, they're enough to make Skate 3 the new king of skateboarding games. Looks and plays great on Xbox 360, too. Enhanced Edition updates round out the game nicely and add much needed new stuff to the previously pretty brief last chapter. Thankfully nothing has been censored for the consoles, and everything in the world is still as engaging and gritty as it should be. The Witcher 2 Enhanced Edition is a serious contender for the best game of 2012. [Apr 2012]Posted Apr 16, 2012 -

While the teleporting seems like a cheap alternative to a proper climbing mechanism, Dishonored is still a first class sneak'em up. Episode 2 delves less on the zombies and more on the relations between humans. In that it succeeds and manages to pull off some of the best writing and atmosphere seen in games this year. A remarkably cinematic game with a superbly stylish execution. The imaginative Quick Time Event action sequences, both big and small, enable participation in action normally reserved for passive cut-scenes. Bioshock Infinite is in many ways far superior to the original Bioshock. Still, it shares many of its predecessors weaknesses. The gunplay feels so-so and the different role-playing game ideas are only toyed with, and not fully committed to. Far from a run-of-the-mill WW2 shooter. The game is all about realism, which makes the infantry and tank combat intense and exciting. The lack of a proper single player campaign is a bit of a letdown, but the great multiplayer action compensates for that. [May 2006] -

BioShock gets everything right with the storyline and the setting. Rapture is a seriously creepy place to be in. While the combat differs from a standard first person shooter, Bioshock's extra tricks do not require much creative thinking. About as atmospheric game as they come. The cities of the Holy Land are rendered so beautifully that simply exploring your surroundings feels exciting.
