Augmented XCOM is better, although it does not fix some basic flaws. Great the first time you play it. [Dec 2013]

Device 6 is very interesting combination of an odd mystery novella, modernized text adventure and clever puzzles. And yes, it's a game. [Dec 2013]

Lego and Marvel are a match made in heaven. The game is by far Traveller's Tales' best achievement. Although the action degenerates still to monotonous button-smashing. Hopefully this is fixed in the next game. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for Lego Star Trek. [Dec 2013]

Oceanhorn proves that there's still room for premium games in the tablet market. Almost AAA grade production values in an iGame are something that you don't see everyday. Sure, it's a Zelda rip-off, but this heist is done with love and respect. [Dec 2013]

A very good tank combat game. It's reasonably realistic, but clearly not a simulation. [March 2014]

I didn't expect anything from this South Park RPG, but The Stick of Truth is one of the best license games ever made. It's as obnoxious as the TV series, as it should be. The script is made with love and the RPG elements fit in to the franchise like a glove. [March 2014]

The next generation of Donkey Kong is a solid platformer for the veterans. The difficulty level is straight from the nineties and the game doesn't give any slack. It's an thrilling adventure that frustrates at times, but on the other hand, it gives you a true sense of achievement. With these kind of games Nintendo will survive, no matter what the analysts say. Papa Sangre II proves that a definition of a digital game is a bit broader than you might think. When the whole gameplay is based on sound and there's no visuals, the stage is set for your imagination. And that, my friend, is a trip worth taking. [Feb 2014]

Transistor is an atmospheric and action-packed sci-fi RPG with excellent combat mechanics and deep customization options. The top-notch audiovisuals are complemented with a gripping storyline. Overall, Transistor is an excellent role-playing adventure. I sincerely hope, that other game companies are smart enough to copy the smartest ideas from this indie pearl. [Aug 2014]

PlayStation 4 makes The Last of Us look better than ever. The touching storyline, the excellent game design and the beautiful visuals ensure that this last-gen masterpiece is also one of the best entries so-far for the next-gen. [Sept 2014]

With all the smart adjustments to the controls and inventory, Diablo III translates extremely well to the consoles. There's a lot to like about the expansive Ultimate Evil Edition and it easily ranks as one of the best titles available for Xbox One. Great work, Blizzard. [Sept 2014]

The long-awaited add-on for Star Wars Galaxies pretty much delivers what was promised. Space combat relies on player skills rather than character abilities, which is a refreshing change compared to most MMORPG's. [Sept. 05]

A solid racing game with amazing variety. The new Pro career keeps even the best racers busy for a while. The game feels a bit too familiar, but it is still a great sequel to a classic game. [Feb 2006]

Has the Battlefield-series jumped ship to Activision? Actually Quake Wars is even better, thanks to its mission-based gameplay. Now fighting really needs team effort, not only flag capturing guerrillas. [Oct 2007]

Desperados 2: Cooper’s Revenge continues on its predecessor’s path. The gameplay, graphics and characters are great. Add to that the Morricone-like music and you have a Wild West addict’s dream. Still, the game falls short of masterpiece status, because of too much frustrating sneaking, some graphics bugs and the occasionally stupid AI. [June 2006]
