A first-class action adventure with a strong apocalyptic themes. No matter what you are, War beats you down. Hard. [Feb 2010]

Mirror’s Edge works like a charm with keyboard and mouse, too. Parkour above a shining beautiful city is a nice change of pace after normal shooters. Hopefully we get to see more games like this in the future. [Jan 2009]

An excellent guerrilla fighter's sandbox adventure. You can destroy every building, no matter how large. Piece by piece. It's simply amazing. [July 2009]

The Sims 3 delivers most of its promises. Modeling an entire small town works extremely well, and even though many features from previous installments will be available only in later add-ons, there's still a ridiculous amount of stuff to do. Technically it's pretty awesome as well. [June 2009]

Football Manager 2009 gets the series back into right track after last year’s downfall. The best football manager out there. [Jan 2009]

A dream come true for retro- and technofreaks. It blends Pong and 8-bitesque bemani game into something, that is a lot more than the sum of its parts. [Aug 2009]

Don't like forced humor and bright colors, but do like everything else. Especially Spitter. [Dec 2009]

Mario & Luigi: Bowser’s Inside Story features simply the best villain of video game history in Bowser, which is not half bad by itself, but what is best about the newest Mario & Luigi is the fact that it is a fantastic game. Be it the funny storyline of the game, its colorful characters or the diverse minigames, everything about this title is top notch. Bowser’s Inside Story is a great sequel to Partners in Time and one of the best games for Nintendo DS. [Nov 2010]

Offers more of the same great stealth action as the two previous instalments. This time it is smoother and even more playable than before, but the story is still virtually non-existent. The co-op mode is a great addition, it just needs more missions. [Apr. 05]

An excellent and unbelievably fast arcade racing experience. The constant over-the-top crashes are hilarious. It is a bit easy, though. [Oct 2005]

Dead Island is maybe rough around the edges, has things that could have been better and has some strange solutions to gaming mechanics, but really, who cares? The main thing, close combat with zombies on an open environment, is both exceptionally well done and most importantly, great fun. Even alone. In the land of blindingly pretty, but simplified tubeshooters the ugly zombie game is the king. [Sept 2011]

Less intergalactic and more linear – but still works wonders. 3D Land is the first 3DS game that doesn't put in question the benefit of turning on the 3D slider. The only major critisism can be placed on the lack of difficulty before moving on to the special stages. [Dec 2011]

An interesting and fun puzzle platformer. The visually flat, but actually three-dimensional levels are very cleverly built. [June 2012]

A faithful and extremely professional remake of one of the great classics of the FPS genre. Despite slight niggles, like the marines' aimbot-like behavior, it actually manages to achieve the impossible: Black Mesa is Half-Life, only better. [Oct 2012]

Borderlands 2 is a marvelous sequel. Its unique style, vast world and funny characters draw you in, its hectic combat and endless supply of loot cause addiction. Superb audio-visual quality and smooth co-op are only the topping on the cake. Borderlands is one of the best games of 2012. [Oct 2012]

With a weak start, enjoyable middle parts and a great ending, Dead Space 3 is a game not to be missed. With such a heavy emphasis on gore, the game could've used a touch of psychological horror. Still, you can't really fault Dead Space 3 for lack of strong atmosphere. [Feb 2013]

Okami HD is the definite version of the classic adventure. It is an amazing feat for a six year old game to look better than most of its recent rivals. A true classic, filled with emotion, adventure and laughter. [Feb 2013]

The ultimate Monster Hunter is really what Wii U needed right now. It may not be the prettiest game on the block, but damn if it isn't the most addictive. When the clock is 3 am, and you're wondering whether you should do another hour long hunt, you know you're hooked. [Apr 2013]

A modernised sequel to the MMORPG classic. The basic idea is pretty much the same, but the new class system is good and the game looks awesome. Content is rather fluffy, although it is easy to get into and a lot of fun to play. [Feb 05]

A solid fantasy MMORPG that looks good, plays well and is faithful to Tolkien’s work. It could have broken out of the traditional EverQuest format a bit more, but even now it is one of the best games the genre has seen in recent years. [June 2007]

An excellent multiplayer FPS. The different soldier types and vehicles keep the game fresh for a long time. Too bad tanks cannot drive through small fences and over small rocks. [Jan 2006]
