Using Kinect to play a 2D beat 'em up is a great idea, but the novelty fades off after a couple of hours. Not that it takes much longer to finish the story mode, which is not quite enough for a retail game that costs 40 euros. [Dec 2011]

Home offers an intriguing concept, but doesn't quite pull it off. The story isn't very satisfying and the choices game forces you to make rarely have meaningful consequences. It's an okay little horror experience, but it could've been much, much more. [Aug 2012]

You have to give credit to Ubisoft for being original with the Wii game. They haven't ported the bigger version to moderate platform by force. Assassin’s Creed II: The Battle of Forli. Hopes were high when Ubisoft released The Battle of Forli, the first DLC pack for Assassin’s Creed II, but sadly Ezio takes a misstep here. The Battle of Forli shows us what happened during Ezio’s Memory Sequence number 12. He is back in Forli and he… well, the title says it all. Ezio battles each and everyone in the city. Caterina Sforza, Ezio’s hostess, is an interesting enough character, but the constant killing makes one obtunded. At least the price of the DLC (4 euros) is affordable. [Mar 2010]

Left 4 Dead 2: The Passing is a bit better than Crash Course DLC for Left 4 Dead, but only barely. Three levels is still too few for a campaign and the potential drama from the original survivors isn't used up to its potential. Also the campaign is filled with the least desirable ideas from Left 4 Dead, like annoying perma-panic in shallow water and yet another scavenge-type ending. Maybe next time we'll finally get something decent, Valve? [June 2010]

This game has a really interesting premise, but unfortunately it won't take it across the finish line. The biggest innovation of this game – the immortal protagonist – is also the game's biggest flaw. When Bryce blows to bits and pieces, blood pressure rises on the other side of the screen. Stupid plot and clumsy controls are a suitable crown for this ass-fruit. [March 2012

Makes mockery of a great TV-series. Nothing works and everything makes you angry. This is one offer that is easy to refuse. [Feb 2007]

Golden Compass for the Playstation 2 is yet another turd of the black shit of death that Hollywood sees fit to squeeze upon the video games industry time after time. The only commendable facet of this monstrosity is the high quality of voice-acting. Buy the book or see the movie, but do not ever buy the game. [Jan 2008]

Day Watch should have been a no-brainer: just do another game like Night Watch. But for some reason things have gone downhill. There is too little action and too many boring cutscenes. You are forced to play as a next-to-useless witch. And the list goes on and on. [Aug 2007]

FlatOut 3: Chaos & Destruction crashes and burns. Mediocre at best, unplayable at worst, the title disappoints in all the key areas that made the previous FlatOut games enjoyable. [Feb 2012]
