No more frustrating fiddling with vague motion sensing remote. Controls are accurate and Brawl supports almost any pad you can plug it in. It's fast and furious and on the bonus side, Super Smash Bros. Brawl suits perfectly for the beginners and advanced gamers. [June 2008]

Company of Heroes has one downside: no German campaign. We have seen Allied heroes far, far too many times. [Oct 2006, p.72]

One of the best games on Nintendo DS. The game is as funny and mean-spirited as it should be. [Apr 2009]

Bioshock Infinite is in many ways far superior to the original Bioshock. Still, it shares many of its predecessors weaknesses. The gunplay feels so-so and the different role-playing game ideas are only toyed with, and not fully committed to. The storyline, the environments and the interaction between Booker and Elizabeth more than make up for it, though. [Apr 2013]

Mario Galaxies have finally gotten the follow up they so rightfully deserve. Fun, exciting and surprising, Super Mario 3D World is everything a good platformer needs to be. [Dec 2013]

A spectacular, overly aggressive and a thoroughly entertaining rollercoaster ride - just what one would expect. The "more bosses, less ordinary ballet" attitude is a double-edged sword, but does not stop the game from delivering an experience almost as good as the original did. [Apr 2007]

An excellent beat 'em up. It's pretty, fluid, surprisingly multi-layered and well-balanced. Too bad the statistics work in odd and mysterious ways. [Apr 2009]

Persona 4 Golden manages to make a classic JRPG even better. A definite buy for any Vita owners, and actually a good enough reason to justify the purchase of Sony's struggling handheld. [Apr 2013]

A glorious and epic adventure in mystic aquarelle Japan. Everything works beautifully except for the overly easy combat. Top recommendations, nevertheless. [Mar 2007]

Great fun on PS3, too. The loading times are short, thanks to the hard drive, and the game is as playable as on a fast PC. [June 2007]

Mass Effect 3 is a fitting conclusion to one of the best RPG franchises ever. The story is gripping and gameplay-wise Bioware has fixed many of the errors they made with the second game, most importantly the renegade/paragon points work properly again and you are free to actually role play as you see fit. It doesn't quite reach the greatness of the first Mass Effect game, though. Still, a great game and a great end to Shepard's story. [March 2012]

Nice addon for a really great game. Add decent diplomacy (with chrome for immersion. Superpowers do not negotiate with SMS-messsages) and Master of Orion is finally beaten.

Moving the series to the present day was the right move but the structure of the single player game should also have been updated. Barging from one invincible checkpoint to the next throughout the whole campaign just isn’t good enough anymore. Still the 5 hours it takes to finish the game are intense and fun. The multiplayer part is a whole ‘nother ballgame. It’s fast and furious and the new weapons and skills that you’ll unlock by increasing your rank keep you addicted. [Dec 2007]

The gory epic is even more so this time. Playing Kratos is still pure ownage and with the exception of a few niggles the game is incredibly polished with awesome visuals. [Apr 2010]

Amazing visuals, solid gameplay and an enjoyable story - Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception has them all and then some. It's a great game that could have been a truly excellent one if not for some slight shortcomings (platforming and puzzles are too easy, too much shooting in the latter part of the game, last minute escapes start feeling old after a while...). Still, it's an experience not to be missed. [Nov 2011]

The best party game ever. It takes the mechanics from Guitar Hero and takes it to the next level. There is just something magical in the feeling when everybody is playing well and the crowd starts to sing along. The only downside is the questionable durability of the instruments, especially the bass pedal breaks up quite easily. [Mar 2008]

Offers more of the same great stealth action as the two previous instalments. This time it is smoother and even more playable than before, but the story is still virtually non-existent. The co-op mode is a great addition, it just needs more missions. [Apr. 05]

A dream-come-true for anyone interested in modern Combined Arms warfare. Its weak link is that it offers only separate scenarios made by various people. Some good, some in German, some too much to digest. Well worth the $125, anyway.

Forza Motorsport 3 takes a good game (Forza 2) and makes it even better. There is simply tons of stuff to do, incredible amount of cars to drive and new things to try out. The cars handle very realistically and driving is always fun, even with slower vehicles. The makers really love cars, and the passions shows in every aspect of the game. Driving games don't get much better than this. [Nov 2010]

Papa Sangre II proves that a definition of a digital game is a bit broader than you might think. When the whole gameplay is based on sound and there's no visuals, the stage is set for your imagination. And that, my friend, is a trip worth taking. [Feb 2014]
