About as atmospheric game as they come. The cities of the Holy Land are rendered so beautifully that simply exploring your surroundings feels exciting. It's a pity that there's really not much else to do than rush to your next assassination target. Fortunately, the core gameplay of climbing up walls and slicing up guards never gets boring. Great fun on PS3, too. The loading times are short, thanks to the hard drive, and the game is as playable as on a fast PC. [June 2007]

Adds a good amount of new zones and features to the best currently available MMORPG. This time there is lots of content for all sorts of players, from newbie stuff to heritage quests and difficult raid zones. [Mar 2007]

An excellent and atmospheric military shooter. The cover and command systems work really well. The multiplayer modes are good, but nothing special. [Apr 2007]

Supreme Commander is Total Annihilation 2007 and that is enough to make me happy. The user interface should be the role model for the whole genre. The only slight letdown are the blandish robotic units. [Mar 2007]

An excellent action-adventure. The fighting system is very good, and brainless button smashers die quickly. However, how about a completely new adventure next time around? [Aug 2007]

Valve hits gold again and turns zombie apocalypse into year’s best co-op-shooter. The tank doesn’t really fit the game, otherwise it’s a winner. [Jan 2009]

The season finale sums up all that is great in the series. The music and the voice acting are good and the humour is witty. All the pieces are in the right places. [June 2007]

Final Fantasy Tactics: The War of the Lions has a brilliant storyline and addictively deep battle mechanics. The game is pure gold from the beginning to the very end. [Sept 2007]

A very good action adventure, which excels in hand-to-hand combat. The fights are tough, but fair. Too bad there's lenghty loading after every death. And there's a lot of dying. [June 2008]

Europa Universalis: Rome is fantastic simulation and historically very accurate. I'm still wondering if that in Rome it would be more rewarding to play with one dynasty as in Crusader King, now there is lot of lost potential. Anyway, Europa Universal: Rome is another masterpiece in the Europa Universalis series. [June 2008]

An enchanting exploration of a beautiful and imaginative world. A lot of variety and surprises to discover with some 2D shooter action. Some interface issues, otherwise top notch. [Mar 2008]

At this price the cult classic is a must buy. The game hasn't aged at all and the sharp high definition graphics and 5.1 sound really add to the experience. [Mar 2008]

Shin Megami Tensei: Persona 4 finally makes its wonderful EU debut after a long wait. Atlus manages to combine ordinary high school setting with the weird and enthralling shadow world, this time behind TV screen in mysterious world the heroes explore. Working on your social links is oddly addicting, and combat system with plethora of Personas to choose from and create is well made and polished. While the story overall might pale a bit compared to Persona 3, in almost every other way Persona 4 is better. [May 2009]

Here’s something that came out of the blue – a superhero license that's brilliant! Arkham Asylum is a great mixture of exploration, brawls and sneaking. With a good story, great cast and style it's also thoroughly polished. [Aug 2009]

Possibly the best game about WWII, unless you want your games simplistic and easy, in which case you should settle for WII games. Like Soldiers, Men of War will be the best game no-one will buy. I hope I am wrong. [Apr 2009]

Once again extends Rockstar's epic Liberty City saga. Although it's just DLC, it could easily be sold as an separate sequel. On the bad side there are few really annoying flying missions and the shooting sequences still feel quite numb. Even with the few missteps the game is really enjoyable and addicting combination of adventure, action and driving. [Nov 2010]
