Bonfire of the Vanities completes Ezio’s memories and is, at least for now, the last DLC pack for Assassin’s Creed II. This time around Ezio is tasked with the assassination (surprise, surprise) of Girolamo Savonarola and his men. Removing Savonarola’s underlings is quite rewarding after Forli’s Cakewalk, and you get to admire the full extent of Florence, yet Bonfire of the Vanities offers nothing new. The adventure is worth its price tag, particularly if you buy the Secret Locations along with it, but nothing to exult about. [Apr 2010]

Revenge of the Titans doesn't bring too many new ideas to the crowded tower defence genre, but its blend of real-time strategy and arcade action does provide it with a unique twist. And it looks and sounds great, too! [May 2011]

Heavenly Sword is a fluid beat 'em up adventure. The moviesque presentation is top notch. Too bad the fighting is so monotonous – it is certainly no Ninja Gaiden. Shooting is fun, though. [Sept 2007]

Makes you really feel the power of Hulk. Destroying everything is fun, but in the long run it tends to get a bit boring. [Oct 2005]

More of the same old good Painkiller. I absolutely love the new sniper-auto-polegun. The underground tunnel levels are lame, but otherwise the level design ranges from mediocre to fine. [Jan. 05]

Has its moments, but in the end it is just another driving game. Jumping around the tracks is fun for a while, but there is little incentive to keep on playing. [Apr 2006]

You never know what to expect from Bioware when they create a new DLC. Sometimes they are decent, more often not. Legacy and Mark of the Assassin are pleasant surprises in the continuum. The adventures are well written, Tallis is a compelling new character and the combat is challenging enough. The add-ons are solid work, but not extraordinary by any means. [Nov 2011]

Borderlands the Pre-Sequel is by no means a bad game, but for a Borderlands veteran it ends up feeling more like a oversized DLC rather than a brand new stand-alone game. [Nov 2014]

Eidolon is a beautiful, meditative experience. Sure, it's a bit simplistic and walking does get tiring after a while, but there a few games that manage to create such an absorbing atmosphere. [Nov 2014]

Universe at War feels initially too much like blast from the past. Mainly thanks to some fun units and interesting background setting, in the end UAW is an OK game. No less, no more. [Mar 2008]

A beautiful Japanese action-RPG with some new ideas and many old ones. It is an adventure of epic portions, but after about a 1000 fights, you are willing to give peace a chance. [Mar 2006]

A decent enough FPS with some nice humour and oddball opponents. But why the levels are so dull-looking and straight-forward, when the situation pretty much allows anything you can imagine? [Apr 2009]

Simple and easy going strategy game has a good board game feeling: easy to learn, harder to master. Battle of Bulge works well on a touch screen too, thanks to excellent user interface. The main flaw is that it is quite expensive and has only one map to play with. [March 2013]

Chains of Satinav is a perfect substitute for a storybook. Absolutely beautiful hand-drawn art is combined with a predictable story and some clumsy dialogue, but the overall melancholic feel of a imaginary kingdom on the brink of it's demise make up for these angularities. It's hard to get any closer of an fairytale. Some puzzles are genius, but there are loads of boring logistic tasks too. [Sept 2012]

Swedish western shootout works like a charm. The game encourages to work together and the fast-paced action is sure to give thrills. Lack of maps is the main concern, but this is easily repaired with DLC, which is hopefully on the way. [June 2010]

Tom Clancy’s Hawx has the looks but is also as shallow as flight combat games come. For some people the lack of realism is a complete turn-off, but for those who can simply take it for what it is – a shoot ’em up – it’s actually good fun. [Apr 2009]

This fantasy isn't something that every boy dreams of, but on the other side, the game offers nice story and extremely streamlined mechanics. If you can put aside the annoying characters, the incoherent script and the overall restrictions, the game is reasonably fun to play. [Mar 2010]
