At its best the game feels more a RTS than an ordinary football game. The set piece and defense will need a lot of work because the controls are still a little too automatic. [May 2009]

The season upgrade has a lot of minor tweaks but lacks important major changes. For example near post corner goal trick is still there and press meetings are still as boring as in real life. I would rather buy a DLC than a new game every year. [Jan 2012]

A very pretty and in some parts surprising arcade racer. It takes a step or two towards the original Need for Speed and that's a good thing. There's one annoying problem, though. The stupidly expensive police cars are just, well, really stupid. [Dec 2011]

Weird and funny at the same time. As a pinball it is nothing extraordinary and in a strategic sense it is quite simple. But when both the elements are combined, the result is much more than you would expect. [May 2006]

Although not as good as Legend of Dead Kel, Teeth of Naros still manages to create a fun adventure. The visual style for the new area is simply gorgeus. [May 2012]

A technically sound, fun and varied show wrestling game. There's a lot of content and you can always create (or download) more yourself. [Jan 2012]

A nice point ’n’ click adventure with an interesting, albeit none too original plot. The puzzles are fine and the elegant inventory adds to the gameplay. A few illogical issues and the overly dramatic dialogue do not spoil the pleasure of playing the game. [Dec 2006]

Has a solid single player campaign which is fun while it lasts. The multiplayer mode suffers from match-making difficulties but is still a blast. [Feb. 05]

If only the developers had had the strength to break free from their original vision and concentrate on what's really good in Brütal Legend. A lot fewer stage battles and a lot more reckless driving and action-packed smashing of heads. With a kickass soundtrack. That's what this game should have been about. Unfortunately it's not. I wish it was, though. [Apr 2013]

Metal Gear Online is a fairly entertaining online shooter that suffers from slow-paced gameplay and unnecessarily elaborate level design. [Sept 2008]

A rather straight-forward action game. There are a few minor quibbles, but on the whole the action is smooth and frantic. Looks, sounds and feels like Bond. [Nov 2005]

The newest Sim City differs quite a lot from its predecessors. It concentrates more on the social atmosphere than being a realistic city simulator. Social energies is a fresh idea which works nicely although they’ve simplified the administrative side of the game maybe a little too much. SC: Societies is a nice way to waste time, but you’ll get bored with it at some point because the game starts to repeat itself. [Nov 2007]

This year’s WWE’s wrestling game doesn’t bring any big changes to the gameplay but offers a deeper career mode with injuries, exercises and all kind of events. Now it’s also possible to play as a manager. The game is too repetitive in career mode, but very enjoyable when played with friends. [Nov 2007; single player score = 78; mutliplayer score = 84]

Sometimes great, sometimes infuriating (on PC, Chris's run from Haos is a game killer) but always entertaining and dare I say challenging (at least compared to Call of Duty, Gears of Wars and other casual handhelders).

A fast and furious racing game, where cops constantly try to catch the racers. Multiplayer is seamless, but it feels like a single player mode, since you rarely bump (pun intended) into other players. [Jan 2014]

Probably the best PC-version in the series so far. The game looks great and new animations add freshness to the gameplay. Mouse and keyboard control is a nice addition, although it is a bit clumsy in action. There are also some problems with joypad and keyboard controls. [Sept 2008]

A traditional point-and-click adventure game set in a world inspired by children's story books. Most of the puzzles are well designed but there are also few illogical ones that can be really hard to figure out. With some extra polishing time those could have been avoided. [Aug 2013]

Does what a next gen skating game should do. It looks realistic, has a cool music track and very high street cred. As a game it is still an old dog with one new Nail the Trick. [Feb 2007]

Ride 2 tries to be the Gran Turismo of motorbikes. The real world tracks are good, but the original tracks are dull and the too fast reset after falling rewards reckless driving in multiplayer. [Nov 2016]

The same highly addictive and fun game as on other platforms, but the Wii-only features in the guitar are just mostly irritating. The only new thing that works is the vibration that handily announces the availability of star power. On the other hand, the sound from the controller makes you want to smash the whole thing in true Nirvana style. The visuals are ok on old television, but on never HDTV sets the picture quality so bad that the game becomes almost unplayable at times. Also the sound is only mono, which is a really strange thing for a music game. Worst version of a great game. [Jan 2008]
