  1. Unlike last month's ABC Family misfire "Make It or Break It," 10 Things contains clever dialogue that's rooted in its characters.

So while the checklist of assets might not add up to 10, there are several things to like about this series, which bodes well for its desire--shared by TV and teenagers--to become popular.

While Bianca is the status-conscious, superficial center of the show, Martin makes her kinda sweet, and Shaw is downright excellent as the status-hating, politically aware Kat.

10 Things is silly, mindless fun and the actors are all terrific in that silly, mindless fun way that Disney teens tend to be.
  7. The movie has such cult status that it seems almost sacrilege to tamper with it for television, but as a series 10 Things is not terrible; it is even at times fun. It’s just not very inventive.
  8. It's hard to say from one episode how the transition from movie to series will go, but producers have populated the show's Padua High--yes, the Shakespeare jokes just keep on coming--with interesting enough kids to make 10 Things a more than watchable high school show, anyway.

Not much interesting going on here, although it can be intriguing to watch an old-fashioned-style sitcom shoehorned into the Gossip Girl age, as ABC Family continues to try to be relevant yet family-friendly.

True and accurate depiction of high school, funny characters, some very easy to relate to. As a teen, I say this show represents us well.

Its boing. its been 3 episodes and nothing has happened. the movie is so much better. the movies cast is better. RIP Heath Ledger. the guy playing partrick is terrible. this show is boring and should be careful. the only thing amusing about this show is how sad and desperate meaghan martin is to be popular. this show is awful. I was hesitant at first, especially since I absolutely love the original. The pilot was a little rough yet intriguing. The second episode, though, took away all my doubts. This will be one of the few shows I actually watch every week, and it is only the second show that I frequent the message boards. Full Review »
