Uhh.. Why would this even get a 7? This is the best show on tv and this new season so far is awesome. I cannot wait to finish the next 2 hours of the season premier! Jack Bauer is amazing.. If you are not watching this show .. start with season one and you will get hooked. 10 out of 10.

Not as action packed as past seasons but still really awesome. You can tell that the writers and producers does not want to do like they did last year by having so much action in such little time. Mind you that this is from watching the first two episodes.

People who enjoy this show because of the twists and turns, and who just love Jack, will love the start of the new season. Love having you back Jack!!!! It's time for another thrill ride.

Great entertainment with sufficient creativity even if it is at times a little predictable. The surprises, suspense and generally good writing outweigh any of the flaws cited by critics.

Great so far (first 4 hours). I love this show - best action show like this on TV. Prison break is good, but nothing stands up to 24

I think its a refreshing start to a new day, however a bit slow within the first 2 hours except for a few moments, it looks promising to actually have the potential to be the best season yet, so long as they do not repeat story lines bring in more sudden unexsected deaths etc, etc. but i still love it

Wow! I wasn't sure that 24 could come back and be as compelling as I had remembered. Maybe all dramas shoudl take a year off so the writers can work on new ideas. The premise of this year's challenge to Jack is believable and the way they have put a new president into the situation with the need to keep her idealized campaign promises while facing the realities of some of the sick leaders the world faces is really current. Welcome back Jack. Expand

Excellent start to the season, most promising start to a series I've seen in a while. Jacks back, are you ready for the ride?

After 5 amazing seasons, each better than the last, 24 finally hit a snag with season 6... but after such an amazing, award winning season as 5, I had a feeling they would have a hard time topping it. Luckily for the viewer, they smartly took thier time prepping season 7 and so far, it has paid off in everyway. The show has a fresh setting, fresh set of characters and fresh focus, all while keeping the one important constant, Jack Bauer, in place. It is great to see this show return to form. One of the best action/drama's on television is back on top again. Expand

It seems as though this season recovered night and day from the trainwreck awful season six. This season has done the things I have hoped it would to make it more interesting and surprising. This season is really different from the other five. (I am trying to pretend season six never existed). Great characters, this season is very catchy and interesting, and they have had a few more moles later in the season, which I am very happy about. (That is primarally why I ranked this season from and eight up to a nine now. This season is almost as good as seasons one through five, and I think it will be as good later on. I am just a little over half way through with it. It is pretty good so far, and I hope it will improve! Suspense is the key. I am glad the writers for the show took a year off now! Expand

At last, Jack's back after a long absence, and this show finally proves that you can make a comeback and not mess it up! The only problem I see with this season so far is I can't see how they will make the next one any better than this one so far! They've listened to the fans who wanted a little drop in the superficial non-stop character interraction and replaced it with intense action or anxiety moments. Kudos fox! you got out of the sucking hole that was started at season 4, and came back with an absolute punch! Expand

In my opinion, 24 is the best TV series.... ever. It is like crack for your eyes. Even after watching 3 hours of recorded episodes, I was left wanting more. Non stop action!!

New Season, new city, new characters, same Jack Bauer. This season could have been the most well-acted to date. Beautifully drawn characters are able to mesh and coincide with the old (and quite rusty) characters. The most high-profile cast to date, 24 outdid itself this season with fantastic plots and an incredible season finale which will make your head spin into an endorphin-induced oblivion. An incredible show, an incredible season, a major improvement. Expand

  1. The show's long break seems to have rejuvenated its story lines, in which intense, rapid-fire action plays out against the backdrop of a complex, methodical geopolitical chess game.
  2. The new season has a few moments, mostly involving the return from the dead of Jack's old CTU colleague Tony Almeida (Carlos Bernard), who now seems to be working for the bad guys. But all the attempts by Jack and his writers to justify every past decision often brings the action to a crawl.

Tonally, this often feels more like a psychological thriller than an action one, which is a very good sign. 24 is thinking, not just doing, and that bodes well for the later hours when our friend has tended to jump the tracks. All in all, a terrific start.
