Indisputably the best season of adventure time! Filled with so many poignant emotional peaks such as the devastating two part opener. Jake's newfound status as a father is a frighteningly realistic account of burnout. What made this season so epic was it's ability to continuously push itself emotionally. "Davey" is a calm exploration of ego death. But out of them "simon&marcy" remains the most resonate episode to date as it unearths a heartbreaking depiction if a descent into madness of the ice king.
The fifth season of "Adventure Time" takes the story, the characters and the scope to a whole new level, with a sensibility and attention to detail than most live action shows would wanna have. I just want to say, what a season we've gotten, even with its double lenght (52 episodes!) the writers managed to make several storylines flow to a fitting, solid end.
At its core, "Adventure Time" is the coming-of-age story about a hero named Finn, and his hardships and findings while adventuring with his best pal Jake. Finn has always been a very fun and likeable protagonist, but is in this season where it really shows why he's a great main lead for this story: he's flawed. He's really, really flawed, and he sometimes can be not that heroic. He's, well, a human. A human kid growing up and on his way of accepting responsabilities. It should resonate with young people.
Also, many episodes this season are instant classics, like "Puhoy", The fifth season of "Adventure Time" takes the story, the characters and the scope to a whole new level, with a sensibility and attention to detail than most live action shows would wanna have. This season also gave us a good number of classics, like "Puhoy", "The Vault", "Simon and Marcy", "Lemonhope Part I and II", "Frost and Fire", "One Last Job" and "Dungeon Train". And that's just naming a few .
I'd say: Go watch it!
By far the best season of Adventure Time yet with some of the greatest episodes to date. Those but tholes below me are complaining about the romance parts. The episodes named Earth And Water/Fire and Ice have for the time being effectively removed that element completely. The strongest fillet episodes are definitely on par with Card Wars and the like. Puhoy, All the Little People, and Dungeon Train are seemingly filler but flesh out Finn in awesome ways. Episodes further on dive into the individual kingdoms as almost to set the scene for an impending crisis for the finale. The shining stars this season has got to be the premier episodes, Simon and Marcy, I Remember You, Be More, FI/EW, and The Vault.
I just fainted. This was absolutely garbage. Nothing was interesting, everyone was not developed. Plus the awkward love episodes that I just kept seeing in this season. What happened? Seriously it's about relationships. We need more adventure time. Not love time.
My favorite show just died. There was nothing clever this season. They just slapped in some plot holes and taped it with duck tape then slapped it with toast. This is not the Adventure Time I watched in 2010, this is a completely different show. It's all about finding love and nothing about the adventure. Just the same old sexual jokes and bland humor in this Season. Watch by the end of the season, they make over 10 episodes about finding a boyfriend/girlfriend.
This season was just garbage. What happened Adventure Time? I loved you so. Why are you starting to become this soap opera that no one wants to see? After the Lich you completely became pointless and wallowed in your own repeated jokes. Your plots just stopped developing characters and just adding more. However the previous seasons are 8/10 for me. I just don't know what happened. I have no idea if you just lost your imagination and true development when Rebecca Sugar left. I'm sorry I have to give this season a big 0/10. It was just a complete embarrassment to not only the series, but to Cartoon Network itself. I do NOT intend this to become the next "Spongebob" effect.
