It's a big cast where every piece fits, and at least upfront, the writing and jokes are good enough that Anger Management only uses sex gags where they work, not to cover up any lack of other ideas.
This is, quite simply, a Frankencom, stitched together from pieces of other comedies. To their credit, Sheen, the talented cast and seasoned writers know how to make it all look slick and polished.

It is very good series. You wont find similar in today where everything is politiclly correct.
This show is great if u dont like political/ social indoctrination and just want to enjoy show that is close to real life.

I hope charlie will get rerun of 2 and 1/2 man, I loved that show and I hate Chuck Lorre - aka liberal **** bad- aka democrat party puppet, for firing charlie sheen.
Charlie Sheen critizied Obama and 9/11 comission. He had to go.
Roseanne Barr- being fired for critizing/insulting obama aide... is great example of liberal hollywood bias.
and it will get whorse, because trump is breaking hollywood.

This show is not for Everyone.
If you're looking for a show with no sexual dialogue; no ****; no ****; no Sexy women,
then this show is not for you, because there's LOTS of it.
If you Are looking for : Old-school Disney-style dialogues and plots; characters that want to give childbirth; or a show that fits the same-ol mold, then this show is not for you.
This show is for Anyone, but Mostly for the Open-minded.
Anyone that is a die-hard Bible-thumper and a Church-goer will immediately hate this show.
Anyone that is a Hard-core feminist and is a man-hater, will DEFINITELY hate this show.
Anyone that likes Freedom to think and do as you wish,
or that likes to envision life as Care-free, but within the rules, and feels no need for "Serious"
subjects and just likes to Laugh and have a good time, Will Love this show.
This show is WINNNING !

Anyone that watches this show, EXPECTING this show to live up to 'Their' expectations and has a pre-determined mind-set as to what a Sit-com should be, or what kinds of Plot they think are 'best'
are Looking to be disappointed and WILL be disappointed.

Anger Management is Charlie Sheen doing what Charlie Sheen does-- on-screen. It's not artful, it's not elegant.
For now, it's a mess. [2 Jul 2012, p.37]
The network has risked its own reputation for cutting-edge, genre-busting shows by churning out a sitcom whose main joke is how derivative, unfunny, and unconvincing it is.
Anger Management isn't going to bring that [good] actor out though, and it isn't even trying to, as it's just another cynical cash-in that lamely tries to milk laughs from casual, unquestioned dehumanization.
I think the show is Great, Too Bad Selma is going she was hot in the show. Well, Charlie get somebody hotter, How about a redhead An old fling for the Anger Management guy, or another psycho girl with destructive tendencies to help focus the character of Mr Goodson or bring Denise Richard for another Cameo she was always great!

SEASON 1
Charlie Sheen has always been an actor that I have loved because he just knows how to make a sitcom work which is why he has a Golden Globe for acting in Spin City. Having said that this show isn't exactly starting off in the right direction but I am willing to give it a another season to broaden my likability for this show. Charlie Sheen is still wonderful as usual and Shawnee Smith is also another great lead actress but the other co-stars kind of slow this show down. After the first season I give it a 6 because it was good enough for me to watch the entire season. Watch some reruns when it comes back for a second season.

SEASON 1
A good idea that could use a lot of work. Anger Management has all the good qualities **** show except one, good writing. The cast is fantastic, and it's pretty funny at times, but it rarely ever makes you do more than chuckle. It does have one or two moments where I've laughed out loud, but the writers don;t really do as much with the humor as they could, so in the end your always left wanting more. To make it worse you know the cast can do more but are hindered by the at times downright unfunny and slow writing. It honestly feels like a waste of such good talent. Like I said it can bring some laughs, so I'm going to continue to watch it, and hope the writers learn to bring more laughs and play to their actors strengths. All in all it's a decent show that, given how great the actors are, could and should be a lot better.

Having been fired from Two and a Half Men for, well basically going insane, Charlie Sheen soon found himself back in the lead role of another major networks sit-com. In Anger Management he plays an ex-ballplayer who ruined his career because of his temper and has now become a therapist in order to prevent others from making the same mistakes he did.
If done right this could have made for an interesting comedy drama but the writers have instead just used the set up to have a group of cliched characters sit around making depressingly unfunny wisecracks about each other and a host of social groups that make easy targets, something which is only made worse by the irritating laugh track. From the opening episode the lazy writing and phoned in performances make it painfully clear that this is nothing more than a money making exercise for all those involved as they hope to cash in on the audience Sheen attracted with Two and a Half Men (Itself not a particularly great show). The fact that the deal struck between the creators and network virtually guaranteed the 100 episodes needed for syndication from the get go speaks volumes really and, having watched the first three episodes, I'll not be giving this show another second of my time.

It's just tiresome. Charlie doesn't work as a lead character and definitely not as some chick-magnet looking as old as he does. It's almost as if he's perpetually stuck in some sort of mid-life crisis. Everyone else is just a stereotype and completely one-dimensional. They're constantly firing off 'jokes' for some cheap laughs, which are only provided by a laugh track. There is a lot of potential, especially with characters like Kate's fear of commitment and expanding the back story of the ex-wife and kid. Each other character in the group can easily be expanded on as well, adding some depth, making me believe they are actual people rather than cardboard imitations of them.
There is just no reason to care for what these characters are doing or saying. It's the most shallow series I've seen to date. The only reason this is on the air is because Comedy Central bought 100(?) episodes when Charlie Sheen was still 'a thing' during the final days on Two and a Half Men and his subsequent lay-off due to his substance abuse. There are better ways to spend your time than watching 'Anger Management'.
