    Good show, but it just pisses me off how short the seasons are, and how long you have to wait until the next one.

    A disappointing season opener to a show we've grown to expect will be stellar. Overstuffed to the point of confusion--you have an entire season, people, slow down!--it reaches its nadir when detailing the preparation for the grand opening of the casino in ludicrous unreality. Get this: When the night's star, Kenny Rogers, is waylaid by weather, the oldest Hendrickson son's A disappointing season opener to a show we've grown to expect will be stellar. Get this: When the night's star, Kenny Rogers, is waylaid by weather, the oldest Hendrickson son's garage band just happens to be ready to play a set of casino-themed songs, and instantly! You expect the band to sprout mouse ears and have Annette Funicello join them as a guest star... Expand

    The financial stakes get considerably higher this season. Bill's new "casino and family fun center" results in briefcases full of cash.
  2. Big Love is very, very good this season.
  3. All of the wives are more interesting than their husband. Paxton's character remains a problem for me and, as the pole on which this tent depends, a crucial one.
