Unlike many shows that have remained on the air for years, Blue Bloods only gets better season to season.

What makes this show such a success is the fact that there are enough talented actors on board for the writers to choose from instead of just one character.

The only criticism that I have was the decision to write Jennifer Esposito off the show. I’m aware of her claims that because of medical problems she was unable to put in the hours required of her. Yet there could have been some compromise to work around a schedule where Esposito could have still been Danny Reagan’s partner but just not featured in as many episodes.

If you love cops then this is the show for you. The stories are told completely from the police department's point of view. Lawyers andIf you love cops then this is the show for you. The stories are told completely from the police department's point of view. Lawyers and Civil rights groups are portrayed as slimy publicity seeking, opportunistic caricatures while the police are (of course) usually hardworking, earnest and faced with impossible choices. Still the show is well executed and takes on controversial subject matter. I just would like to see a crime drama that told both sides of the story instead of portraying civilians only as thugs and criminals. Expand
