  • Starring: Balthazar Getty, Sally Field, Ron Rifkin
  • Summary: Anticipated more for its cast than its original premise, this soapy drama follows the lives and loves of members of a wealthy California family.

  1. There are precious few signs of trouble or uncertainty in the polished, instantaneously seductive finished product on display in its first episode.
  2. The promise of grown up storytelling is alluring. This is a series to watch to see if it grows.
  3. Despite cast changes, rewrites, and producer musical chairs, this brainy soap checks in with promise.
  4. The pilot has a "Steel Magnolias" feel to it: Too many stars, too many faces, too many names, a cornucopia of character business.
  5. 10
Not a single note in the premiere of "Brothers & Sisters" rings true.

An amazing drama, from the kind we don't have any more on TV. A great acting from all the cast and well scripted show. I cant wait for the next episode, especially now that Justin and Rebbecca are together. Collapse

I am absolutely in love with this show. The Walker family is one to watch, see how they grow and love each other through everything. Witty, emotional, and real. Expand

Great TV show!, I wonder why is it aired on ABC and not in HBO...

The first show had a lot of exposition, which is necessary with a big cast/multi-storied undertaking. I'm very hopeful that the seasoned professionals on this show will make this appointment viewing. Expand

thought it was a bit predictable, but I like how there are signs of actual current events. the infuse of political differences in a family is a nice twist. Expand

Ridiculous contrived setup with a lousy cast.
