Season 3 of Castle takes the show up a step. While remaining humorous and witty when it best suits itself, the show has greatly matured and has become much more than just a fun weekly detective show. The serious overtones breath great life into an already fantastic show. It's without a doubt that, as the final episode of this season ended, that I had found my new favorite show. If you aren't watching Castle, you probably should be.
A latecomer to Castle after catching the Pilot I found myself immedietaly drawn to the show. Nathan Fillion's dynamics, onscreen charm and unique sense of humour is near flawless and the chemistry between Rick Castle and the Kate Beckett (the beautiful Stana Katic) is what sets this show apart from all other on screen partnerships. Season 3 is another steady improvement with Castle and Beckett's blinding love for one another growing ever more and once again the cornerstone of the show. It's nothing knew as you know what your getting with Castle. Although this season their are a lot more action packed episodes than before. From start to a very frantic, shock and unforgettable finale S3 is Castle's best outing to date!
Castle is an awesome show. Nathan Fillion and Stana Katic have so much sex tension. Also, Nathan Fillion has a very unique and alluring sense of humor and intrigue. Because of him, there is great sense of chemistry throughout the cast.
General consensus seems to be that Castle’s third season was its best yet and I would certainly agree. As has been the case since the very beginning the writers manage to do an excellent job of balancing humour with drama, not just from week to week but also within individual episodes. Stana Katic and the always watchable Nathan Fillion continue to demonstrate electrifying on-screen chemistry and the supporting cast, such as Ryan and Esposito, are given more screen time in which to develop their characters. The cases themselves, whilst still not being the main reason to watch the show, also remain for most part as cleverly written as ever.
If there is a complaint to make with season three it would be with the fact that the writers seem determined to create excuses to keep Castle and Beckett apart but following a dramatic cliff-hanger (even if there can be only one outcome) hope is high that this will be dealt with in season four. I for one am certainly looking forward to it.
