The men are off on a camping and fishing trip and a childhood friend is coming to stay with Cher and Dee for the weekend. Unfortunately, their friend brings some marijuana, which causes problems when they are arrested by the police.

The gang take a day off from studies and head to the beach. On the trip down they have a close brush with death. It starts them thinking about what they'd do if they only had one day left.

With the SATs coming up, Dee and Cher are starting to realise that they need help. They ask Katie to tutor them. When the naive Katie is continually nauseated they realise something else is happening and decide to help her.

Cher is organising her own birthday party when Dee and Murray upset things when they have an acrimonious break up. Dee makes it worse by forcing Cher to choose between Murray and herself. Cher does her best to get them back together.

Dee and Murray have broken up and Cher unsuccessfully tries to get them back together. It then becomes a competition between them as they are determined to get a new date. The others help out at an old people's home and see their futures.

Sean is trying to publicise his new hip hop CD and decides to produce a music video of the song. Amber volunteers to direct the video, which ends badly. However, then Cher takes over as director.

Cashless
It's the end of the school year when Cher is shocked to find out that the Horowitzes are broke after Mel's business manager disappeared with all his money. Cher tries to help the family finances by having a yard sale.
